PowTech TechnoPharm (Nuremberg, 23-25 September 2025) is the international trade fair for process engineering experts and a tailor-made technology platform for the pharmaceutical and life science industries. Its honorary sponsors are the APV (Working Group for Pharmaceutical Process Engineering) and the VDI Association of Process and Chemical Engineering. RF Technology Decoded by UWT – How Electrical Signals Deliver Reliable Level Detection RF technology (Radio Frequency Capacitance) uses high-frequency measurement for precise level detection. Unlike purely capacitive sensors, it detects not only changes in capacitance but also the specific resistance of the medium. This ensures reliable measurement even under challenging conditions. How does RF technology work? The principle is based on an electrical voltage divider. Together with the medium, the probe forms a measuring system that detects both capacitance and impedance. Impedance describes the total electrical resistance a medium presents to an alternating current. It indicates how strongly a material reacts to electrical signals – and this change is exactly what RF technology uses for reliable detection. When the material comes into contact with the electrode, the capacitance increases abruptly – a clear signal that the level has been reached. Three days full of inspiration, innovation and interaction at PowTech TechnoPharm and FachPack. For the duration, the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg became a city of 72,000 people united by a single mission: to drive forward their companies, ideas and industries and lead them into the future. PowTech TechnoPharm and its rich supporting programme ensured first-hand practical knowledge for the community. Once again this year the exhibition offered a special highlight: ParTec, the renowned international scientific congress, with about 500 participants and high-calibre lectures on particle technology. The new chair for the forthcoming ParTec 2028 will be Professor Urs Peuker of the Institute for Mechanical Process Engineering and Mineral Processing at TU Bergakademie Freiberg. “PowTech TechnoPharm and ParTec have once again underscored their key role as the central platform for processing and particle technology and sent out a positive signal: PowTech TechnoPharm is a place of stability, trust, and long-term viability,” says Marianny Eisenhofer, Director PowTech
