Under the project name “Dedusting Building 21” is a project whose successful realization would not have been possible without the professional cooperation of all the companies involved, such as Sto, as well as the company responsible for the building services, Binkert. What at first glance looks like a large marine diesel engine is a powerful exhaust air filter solution designed and built by Infastaub. In this case, this system is used to filter dust in the pharmaceutical industry during the production and drying of tablets. The system cleans 8000 m³ of air per hour. As the application involves combustible dusts, the system is built in a pressure-shock-resistant design. The order was placed in July 2023, delivery in January 2024.

Berthold Geppert, who has been Managing Director of Infastaub since 2008, will hand over the baton to Norbert Kuhn. Geppert and Kuhn will act as dual leaders until the end of the year, before Geppert leaves the company on 31 December 2022. ”We are very pleased that Norbert Kuhn is taking over the management of Infastaub. With his many years of experience as Technical Managing Director of Herding GmbH Filtertechnik, he brings with him the best prerequisites for the position,” explains Berthold Geppert on the choice of his successor. Kuhn will now bring his valuable experience in filter technology as well as his expertise in manufacturing processes and product development to Infastaub and make the company fit for future challenges. Geppert will continue to work for Infastaub as a consultant.

Infastaub has significantly simplified change of filter cartridges Life-cycle costs of durable industrial goods, to which cartridge filters also belong, are influenced by operating and follow-up costs. This also includes working time for installation and change of filter cartridges. But filter cartridges – as well as with every other filter unit - have to be changed in regular intervals. Compared to common fastening mechanisms, Infastaub has significantly simplified this system. Because of a special fastening, the operating personnel can carry out the cartridge change without any tools. For this purpose, the front clamping rail only needs to be unfastened and the cartridges can directly and easily be removed. The filter media change is carried out via the maintenance door on raw gas side, so that no additional height is necessary. Even the basic dimensions of the filter unit remain same with the new cartridges.

INFA-Lamellen-Jet AJL receives versatile optimizations The INFA-Lamellen-Jet AJL is a versatile usable aspiration filter for separation of dry, non-sticky dusts. Filter units of this series achieve a maximum filter surface area on minimum space requirements because of their pleated filter elements (filter lamellas). Now the design of the AJL has been refreshed. Numerous demands on operating efficiency and flexibility for the operator were considered. The former vertical struttings inside the raw gas chamber are now on the exterior side thus the filter is easier to clean. The doorhang can be changed from left to right any time. Therefore a change in place of installation is practicable without large effort. The justification of inspection doors is simplified, the supporting construction strengthened. A pressure shock resistant design is in development. New design of cartridge filter Infa-Jetron AJP and now available with secondary filter sta The popular Infa-Jetron AJP series, designed as dust collectors or vent filters, has received enhancement. As of now the dust collector is available with a secondary filter stage, too. The second filter stage with filter cassette reduces the residual dust content and serves as safety filter at the same time. Further features of the filter unit are additional lengths of filter cartridges of 500 mm and 1,400 mm. The filter surface and the volume flow are consequently extended. Different possibilities for raw gas inlet and clean gas outlet also provide a large flexibility as well as the different basicmaterials for the raw gas and clean gas area. Motivated by the strong market resonance Infastaub has extended the filter series INFA-JETRON AJP 224 silo filter are fully automatic venting filters for de-dusting of exhaust air from silos, containers or machines. Filter units of this series are generally suitable for all needs, where a dust/air mixture continuously arises over a long period of time, e. g. for de-dusting of mechanical transport and manufacturing processes. The mineral resources are required as raw material base for the cement production. Because of the Russian „programme for the development of building material industry till 2020“ and the rising demand for cement and chemical construction products, increase the extension of the building material industry. So also in Nowosibirsk. There the company Gerkules-Sibir was founded in 1997. The building material supplier produces the raw materials of the cement industry to dry mortar, gypsum plaster, screed etc. In 2013 Gerkules modernised its plant 7 and refurbished also the de-dusting units. The order of 15 filter units for de-dusting of 26 dust sources (elevators, crusher, sieves, scale bunker, belt transfer points, packing machines, pneumatic conveying etc.) was awarded to SovPlym, the Russian representative of Infastaub. Pocket filter of type series INFA-JET AJN for conveying systems Strict hygienic and quality regulations - according to these the food industry is working. That way also for production of hypoallergenic baby food which is strictly supervised. And this is important; health of babies allows no room for mistakes. The company Gericke is one of the leading plant manufacturers in this demanding production sector. For the realisation of a new production plant for baby food in Switzerland, the project managers of Gericke decided to count on filters of Infastaub for de-dusting the conveying systems. „It was decisive for us, that Infastaub guaranteed to supply pocket filters in this high quality“, explains Thomas Künzli, Manager Purchasing at Gericke. Infastaub delivered several pocket filters of series INFA-JET AJN for this project. Taking into account the products to be de-dusted all parts in contact with the product and conveying air were made in stainless steel. This includes also firm housings to protect employees in their job against external and internal radiation exposition. The term „caisson“ is also used for such a housing. At „Nuclear Engineering Seibersdorf“ (NES) in Austria two identical cassette filters of type INFA-MICRON MKR were installed by a German plant contractor for nuclear technology. The filters made of stainless steel are used for the de-dusting of two stainless stell caissons in which radioactive waste is disaggregated, sorted and reconditioned. In the production location Loxstedt organically based stabilizers are produced among other things. In our everyday life they are hardly perceived, but the special chemicals are essential for the processing of PVC. Only by their use the final products get their required durability. The up to now used cyclone for the dust removal of the production processes could not any longer fulfil the realisation of lower dust emission values presecuted by Reagens. In lieu of the cyclone Infastaub delivered an aspiration filter of the type Infa-Lamellen-Jet. Manfred Borkowsky from the regional office south retires By 1st of July, 2012 Manfred Borkowsky went into retirement and said goodbye after more than 33 years of service at Infastaub. The sales professional began his career with Infastaub in 1978. In his responsibility lay the regional sales office south. „During his time with Infastaub, Manfred Borkowsky has brought the sales in South Germany and the adjoining neighbouring states forward and continuously developed it. The filter company Infastaub has again received orders from Russia Nine BKF bulk loading systems made of stainless steel with integrated filters will be supplied to RusVinyl in Nizhny Novgorod. The filters will ensure a dust free loading of plastic granules from silos into railway wagons. Date of delivery will be this summer. In 2011 Infastaub has already delivered seven dust removal devices for volume flows from 6,000 to 24,000 m3/h to Nizhnetagilskij Metallurgicheskij combine (NTMK) in the region of Swerdlowsk. The filters are employed in the conditioning processes for coal and coke before the inlet to the blast furnaces. They are designed pressure shock resistant because of the danger of a dust explosion. Fair presentation on the POWTECH This year the POWTECH takes place again In Nuremberg. From October 11th to 13th, 2011 we show you current and new Infastaub products again. The cartridge filter INFA-MICRON MPR is exhibited for looking and touching on our exhibition stand hall 9, booth 9-658. As a special highlight a cartridge change with "Safe Change" is demonstrated three times a day. This is necessary according to the protection from contamination. The demonstrations are daily at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 03:00 p.m. „The demands for capacity, functionality and operational safety with the filtration of lung-current, harmful or toxic dusts and suspended matter are high. Contact of the operating staff with contaminated materials from the inside of the filter must be prevented efficiently. At the same time an efficient cleaning system with permanently low differential pressure should also guarantee good cleaning results of very sticking dust. Trade meeting at the easyFairs Schüttgut From May 18th to 19th, 2011, the branch met again at the easyFairs Schüttgut, the trade fair for the bulk solids technology, in the Westfalenhallen Dortmund. Delivery of several dedusting units to russian steelwork After in summer 2010 Infastaub carried out successfully an order for the equipment with dust removal filters at the russian steelworks Novolipetsk, a great order for the equipment of a Russian steelwork has been awarded once more to Infastaub in December, 2010: The Nizhnetagilskij Metallurgicheskij combine (NTMK) in the region of Swerdlowsk orders through our Russian partner SovPlym seven dust removal installations for volume flow from 6,000 to 24,000 m3/h. The order comprises different types of the type series AJN with different filter areas and volume flows and will be delivered between end of february and mid of March. The filters are used in the treatment processes for coal and coke before the supply to the blast furnaces. Because of the danger of a dust explosion they are designed pressure shock resistant. INFASTAUB launches the new silo vent filter in rectangular design Filtering separators are essential for silos. The INFA-JETRON silo vent filter; type AJB 800, has proven performance for this application. The "Filtration + Separation" magazine has already commended the bestseller and its performance. INFASTAUB from Bad Homburg uses the experience of the reliable AJB 800 and launches the silo vent filter, type AJP 224, in rectangular design. The construction of the newly engineered cartridge filter combines both the strengths and benefits of the AJB and of the mechanical shaking filter AM 204, which has been installed on many silos for many years. It focuses on the identical dimensions of the AM 204 and the pneumatically cleaned AJP 224. Consequently, the connecting flanges on the silos don’t have to be modified, if you want to change the filter type. This saves costs in a new investment.
