Recently Airtechnic Solutions from The Netherlands has completed two multi-cyclone systems of which the dust emission, without back filter, is less than 5 mg/Nm3. Thus fulfilling local requirements for dust emission. In the course of years Airtechnic has further developed cyclone technology up to the point that with cyclones and multi-cyclones very low emission rates can be achieved, even at very high dust loads. Besides the accuracy of loadcell and feedcontroller as well as a proper selection of feedertype, the final accuracy also rely on a proper ventilation and refilling of the feeder. Deaeration while feeding of powders by using filtercandle or filterhose leads to blockage after a short time. The air escapes through inlet and outlet of the feeder resulting in a delay of refilltime and an uncontrolled blow-out at the outlet leading to rejection of production by an inaccurate dosing, unreliable production and various errors. The In Line Sparkarrestor can be mounted in new or existing ducting. This preseperator is taking out the bigger particles by centrifugal force. The solid blades will give a rotatation to the air, the particles will be catched and via the fall pipe discharged into the dustbin. This pre-separator was origanally designed to catch the sparks which are generated by cutting or weld steel, as with shotblasting, but due to its high efficiency it can also be used to decrease the dust load. The filters in the filterunit will have a longer life. The diameter range is from Ø125 up to Ø1,000 mm and the capacity various from 2.000 up to 60.000 m³/hr.
