Dedusting system for 11 extraction points at Sto

Central dedusting system for 11 extraction points at Sto in Stühlingen

Space saving, cost saving, easier maintenance, higher performance.

The globally active company Sto, headquartered in Stühlingen in southern Baden, is known worldwide for high-quality products such as facade insulation systems, paints, acoustic systems, floor coatings, lacquers, varnishes and glazes worldwide.

Challenging project

At the Stühlingen site, Infastaub was able to realize a challenging project for Binkert Haustechnik GmbH (GU) and the end customer Sto SE & Co. KGaA. Under the project name “Dedusting Building 21” is a project whose successful realization would not have been possible without the professional cooperation of all the companies involved, such as Sto, as well as the company responsible for the building services, Binkert.

Only 1dust extraction system instead of 11

The task: to centralize the dust extraction function and integrate 11 different extraction points, which were located in different rooms and on different floors. The aim
was to achieve significant space savings, lower maintenance costs and easier disposal of the dust, combined with higher performance.

Mixed dusts and explosion protection concept

The dust produced was a mixture of wood dust, plastic particles and inorganic components. The filter system was designed by Infastaub with a preventive explosion protection concept for the entire system and positioned on the first floor. Effect: Thanks to this spatial placement, the dust produced can now be significantly reduced.
