A large grain storage facility in the south of England required a reliable content measuring device to replace an old acoustic wave system which was no longer functioning. Configured was a non-contact radar measurement device from UWT combined with a visualization software. A large grain storage facility in the south of England required a reliable content measuring device to replace an old acoustic wave system which was no longer functioning. Non-contact continuous level measurement UWT (UK) Limited proposed the use of the free-radiating radar NivoRadar® NR 3100 which could be supplied with an aiming flange. Chinese Delegation visits UWT

Organized by the IHK organization A high-calibre business delegation from China, to be precise from Wuhan, the capital city of the central province Hubei visited our company upon invitation of the German IHK organization. We welcomed the 32-strong delegation on 15th March 2018 in our company is Betzigau where we were able to give them a small insight into the world of level measurement. We were also able to present our company during a company tour through production. The visitors all came from the manufacturing industry and showed great interest in the different level measurement solutions for the process industry.

International Autumn Training 2017

More than 20 nations come together in the beautiful Allgäu region We look back to a very successful and interesting autumn training which took place from 6th – 7th November. More than 30 participants of our international partners from all over the world gathered at UWT headquarters in Betzigau so that more than 20 nations from around the globe were represented. Targets for 2013: Trainer Brian Caler reveals the Allgaeu Comets` strategy Head coach Brian Caler invited the whole team, young players and football fans to a Kick Off Meeting to sum up the 2012 campaign and to focus on the coming months. Everyone gathered together in the conference rooms at UWT GmbH –Level Control in Betzigau/Germany. After a short introduction by Joachin Hoessl – Manager, the Head Coach (Brian Caler) reviewed the campaign in 2012 - which targets have been reached, which have not and what areas require action. The Head Coach praised the attendance levels at training sessions, “To have 59 players in the training camps and to have up to 42 players in training during the campaign is a great base to work with”, said Brian Caler. However, there is still room for improvement - in discipline and also in speed during training – these areas need to be focused upon during the next campaign. New sales engineer in action since May We cordially welcome Kevin Walter to our team. Born in 1985 Kevin Walter is a new member of the UWT sales team since May this year. He likes to spend his leisure time in nature with biking and rock climbing. The certified engineer collected sales experience the last one and a half years at M-Net and will enrich the UWT-team as a sales engineer after intensive training. Kevin Walter will technically support the sales office and sales force, will take over the technical development of comprehensive projects (measurement, visualization, installation, commissioning) and will conduct technical trainings for employees and partners of UWT. Chinese delegation of the Chongqing Steel Group visited UWT in mid-July High-ranking managers of the Chongqing Steel Group of China together with the managing director of our company in Shanghai were guests of UWT from11th to 17th July. Distributor CNN organized a seminar in Kuala Lumpur In the beginning of May our International Sales Manager, Mr. Markus Schalk, was away on a seminar and customer tour in Malaysia. On this trip Mr. Schalk performed three half-day seminars. The first technical seminar entitled "Solid Level Measurement - Overview About The Different Technologies" took place in Dorsette Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Product training for the new Japanese sales partner UWT is continuing the expansion, and since December 2010 we have a new sales partner in Asia. Four employees of our new partner JMC in Japan have been here in Betzigau at the end of May for two days for an intensive product training. The gentlemen came from Osaka and Tokyo. Our Product Manager, Mr. Johannes Blochum, instructed the employees of JMC in an intensive training on the skills which are necessary for successful sales of UWT products. Visit of the State Commission of Belarus at UWT

Certification of UWT products for the Belorussian market As part of the governmental certification of the UWT products for the Belorussian market the audit commission visited the headquarters of UWT in Betzigau from 21st to 25th March. The goal of the metrological certification is the registration of the UWT products Nivobob and Nivowave in the State Register of Measurement Technology of the Republic of Belarus. During the visit numerous tests and examinations have been conducted with these units. The test results showed that the UWT products Nivobob and Nivowave meet all Belorussian standards and therefore there is no further obstacle to the registration. Limit detection in a thermochemical reactor

Rotonivo in high temperatures The Challenge The company Pyroforce was looking for level limit detectors to work in a reactor, which produces gas for power generation. The sensors control the feed of woodchips, which burn up in the reactor. Also the discharge of the ash should be controlled by a limit sensor. The challenges in this application are the high temperature of 600°C and the condensing hydrocarbons like tar. The Solution The feed of the woodchips will be controlled by a UWT paddle switch ROTONIVO® 6000. This full detector is installed on the top of the reactor in an angular position. Is the sensor free of woodchips, the feed screw switches on with a time delay and woodchips are filled in the reactor from a storage silo. If the level gets to the sensor the screw will be stopped. Sales partner from different countries spent a weekend peppered with great activities During the year 2009 a Distributor Challenge was announced were different targets were given to the sales partners. Finally four were to meet or even overdo their target and were invited for this great incentive. 10. July 2008 Less than three years after the first sod was turned for UWT’s four storey office block, there is more building news on the horizon. On 10 July, the next sod was turned to overcome the acute lack of space; this time for a combined production and office building with three levels. UWT’s agents, customers and not to forget the employees have advanced the success and growth of the company so that the current “new” office building was no longer sufficient for the requirements of the growing enterprise.
