Customer seminars for measurement solutions

Hands-on technology: exchange of experiences and new ideas for India’s markets

This February, UWT together with local distributors organized several customer seminars for the Indian market in the cities of Satna in the Madhya Pradesh region, in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan and Haldia in West Bengal.

In Satna it was presented the broad range of solutions of the entire UWT product range for different process applications within different industries. Common questions such as which sensor is suitable for level measurement or level detection in which material-processing silo or process container could be answered. Industry experiences were exchanged and different solutions were discussed.

The latest product development in the field of capacitive measuring technology, the RFnivo® 3000 series was highlighted. How the equipment functions, the user-friendly calibration as well as the technical opportunities of the innovative RF probe were demonstrated and could be tried under different application conditions. On that occasion the attendees were also brought closer to several other measuring principles for content measurement and level detection of different bulk solids in silos or containers. It was explained the fundamental principles, influences and applications of vibrating forks, further capacitive probes, rotating paddles and electromechanical level measurement. Focus was amongst others on the latest products, the compact vibrating probe Mononivo® MN 4000 as well as the smart radar sensor NivoRadar® NR 3000.

The seminars in Satna and Chittorgarh, on the other hand, were organized especially for mechanical engineering companies and plant manufacturers of the building, cement and quarry industry. Different solutions for level monitoring within typical processes of cement production were discussed. A closer look was on the building materials industry’s favorites: the tried-and-tested Rotonivo® rotary paddle switch and the robust Nivobob® lot for continuous content measurement.

With the various sensor models it was a very exciting training and a great opportunity for the approx. 42 participants to get hands-on with our technology. There was a high level of interest for the measurement solutions “Made in Germany” and some new projects could be discussed.
