80-GHz radar sensors measure the level from the outside through the plastic wall – without opening the container and without coming into contact with the liquid medium. Schiltach – When storing and processing chemicals in intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), the current level is a key piece of information. However, with closed, double-walled IBCs, it’s impossible to tell from the outside how much liquid medium is in the container. Together with the Dutch IBC manufacturer Varibox, VEGA has developed a solution that provides exactly this needed transparency. Varibox IBCs, like the FC 1000 and the compact FC 250, are designed for the safe handling of acids, alkalis and cleaning agents. Their double-wall construction also serves as an integrated containment pan, protecting people, products and the environment. However, this also makes it difficult to monitor the level during operation. VEGA addresses this by leveraging the advantages of 80-GHz radar technology. BOLZ Intec develops drum wagons for the safe and hygienic transport of drums in the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries. In hygiene-critical production areas, the internal transport of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods places special demands on the transport equipment used. The drum cart from BOLZ Intec was developed specifically for these applications and combines hygienic design with robust construction and ergonomic handling. The design takes into account the requirements of the EHEDG (European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group). The hygienic design facilitates easy and thorough cleaning, making it particularly suitable for production environments with high hygiene standards. The drum wagon is designed for standard drums with a diameter of up to 560 mm and has a load capacity of up to 300 kg. This allows even heavy containers to be moved safely and comfortably within the production area. A particular advantage is that the drum cart is fully washable. Since the 1950s, Siftomat has been synonymous with simple and robust screening technology. The basic principle was developed by Rudolf Fuchs and has been refined over the decades—without fundamentally altering the proven design. For more than six decades, the Siftomat has relied on a proven principle: a planar, eccentric screening motion that gently and precisely guides bulk materials across the screening surface. FUCHS has continuously refined the design without altering the fundamental concept. As a former mill manager, Rudolf Fuchs knew from practical experience the requirements for reliable screening. To this day, the Siftomat is based on a planar, eccentric screening motion. This motion guides the bulk material in a controlled manner across the screen surface and enables gentle product handling. The product is fed onto the rear section of the screen and transported forward by the screening motion and screen inclination. Finer particles fall through the mesh, while coarser components are conveyed along the entire length of the screen.
