Stable measured values for a resilient water industry. From 4 to 8 May 2026, at IFAT in Munich, booth C1.239, VEGA will be showing state-of-the-art level and pressure instrumentation. Extreme weather events, increasing demands on drinking water quality and ever more complex wastewater processes are putting operators under increasing pressure. A sustainable and resilient water and wastewater infrastructure therefore needs one thing above all else: reliable measurement data, even under difficult conditions. From 4 to 8 May 2026, at IFAT in Munich, booth C1.239, VEGA will be showing how state-of-the-art level and pressure instrumentation helps to keep processes stable and efficient over the long term. Interactive demonstrations at the exhibition stand illustrate the capabilities of the sensors under realistic operating conditions. One focus is on wastewater treatment. Precise and stable measured values are indispensable in all process stages: from inflow via pumping stations to sedimentation and aeration to sludge dewatering and effluent control. Even in the presence of foam, vapours, buildup or changing media conditions, VEGA sensors deliver

Copper recycling: good for the environment and the economy
The processing of copper scrap involves many precisely coordinated processes. When it comes to level instrumentation, Montanwerke Brixlegg relies on radar technology from VEGA. Very few companies can look back on over 550 years of company history. The Brixlegg copper-silver smelter appeared in documents for the first time in 1463. Copper and silver ores were mined there and refined into pure metals up until the 20th century. Since 1890, secondary materials containing copper have been increasingly used as raw materials instead of ores. “While the challenges back then were for the most part exclusively mining problems, today they are much broader. We are now responsible for maintaining a positive interplay between people, the environment and the economy,” explains Patrick Oberladstätter, Head of Electrical Engineering at Montanwerke Brixlegg in Tyrol. Today, Montanwerke Brixlegg AG is a 100 % upcycling company with more than 350 employees and one of the most important industrial operations in western Austria. The plant in Brixlegg is considered a specialist in copper recycling and the associated copper refining. But there is more to it:

Robust Level Measurement Technology for Bulk Solids – VEGA at SOLIDS
VEGA, as a specialist in level and pressure measurement technology, will present its proven sensor solutions for the bulk solids industry at SOLIDS from March 18th to 19th, 2026 – at Stand 5-P14 – in Dortmund. The focus will be on solutions for demanding applications in the bulk solids industry where reliability and easy integration are crucial. Reliable level measurement is a central challenge in the bulk solids and process industries – especially under demanding conditions such as dust, noise, build-up, vibrations, or changing process parameters. VEGA offers solutions for this that operate precisely and with low maintenance even under these extreme environments. The focus is on the VEGAPULS 6X with a purge air connection. The universally applicable radar sensor guarantees safe level measurement, even with heavy dust development or antenna contamination. The measuring portfolio is completed by the proven vibration limit switches VEGAVIB and VEGAWAVE. Whether fine powder or coarse bulk solids – the robust sensors reliably report any exceeding or falling below defined limit levels, thus ensuring a smooth process flow. With its robust sensors, VEGA demonstrates

Automate without an entry threshold How VEGA’s IoT level measurement technology is paving the way for automated logistics
Automate without an entry threshold
How VEGA’s IoT level measurement technology is paving the way for automated logistics For a long time, level measurement was a simple, local issue in the process industry. Sensors detected whether a container was empty or full, sometimes providing percentage values, but rarely integrating the results into larger systems. However, this view of measurement technology has changed fundamentally. Today, it’s no longer just about individual measuring points, but about networked systems: about greater transparency, higher efficiency – and about making decisions automatically, before they become urgent. VEGA recognised this transition early on and helped shape it – with, among other things, the autonomous VEGAPULS Air radar sensor, VEGA Inventory System, the APL communication standard and universal Bluetooth connectivity. The goal of these developments is to make logistics processes not only more efficient but also more proactive. At the centre of all this is the concept of user-friendliness: Solutions should make everyday work noticeably easier. Step

Start of construction of VEGA facility in Kuppenheim
Production, logistics and administration buildings are being built Kuppenheim/Schiltach. On 17 December, instrumentation manufacturer VEGA Grieshaber KG officially began construction of a new production facility in Kuppenheim. This major project marks a milestone in the company’s growth strategy and sustainable development. The builder is Grieshaber Real Estate GmbH & Co. KG. With the new location, VEGA is expanding its production capacity and strengthening its global logistics. Schiltach will continue to be the company’s headquarters. There, the space available for further growth has been exhausted. The project is being implemented as part of the “Ober-Hardrain” development plan and will give a significant economic boost to the entire region. “We’re creating additional capacity in order to remain competitive in the long term and offer our customers worldwide the quality that VEGA stands for. We’re deliberately investing in sustainable structures and in the future of our company in Germany,” emphasises managing

VEGA expands in the USA: New electronics production opens in Mason
A milestone for the measurement technology manufacturer VEGA Grieshaber KG: At the beginning of October, the company officially commissioned its new electronics production facility at the US site in Mason near Cincinnati. The expansion covers around 11,000 square meters and doubles the previous production area in Mason. With the expansion, VEGA will produce electronic components directly on site in the future. The site expansion strengthens local supply chains, reduces dependence on global logistics, and increases flexibility in customer service. Production at the company headquarters in Schiltach remains. Sustainability and energy efficiency The new building was realized with a clear focus on energy efficiency and environmentally friendly materials. Regional sourcing and the elimination of long transport routes contribute to a more sustainable value chain. “With the expansion in Mason, we are investing in proximity to our customers in North America,” says Isabel Grieshaber, Managing Partner of VEGA. “This allows us to react faster, conserve resources, and deploy our innovative strength more effectively worldwide.” Collaboration across continents After around two years
