VEGA at IFAT 2026

Stable measured values for a resilient water industry. From 4 to 8 May 2026, at IFAT in Munich, booth C1.239, VEGA will be showing state-of-the-art level and pressure instrumentation.
Extreme weather events, increasing demands on drinking water quality and ever more complex wastewater processes are putting operators under increasing pressure. A sustainable and resilient water and wastewater infrastructure therefore needs one thing above all else: reliable measurement data, even under difficult conditions.

From 4 to 8 May 2026, at IFAT in Munich, booth C1.239, VEGA will be showing how state-of-the-art level and pressure instrumentation helps to keep processes stable and efficient over the long term.
Interactive demonstrations at the exhibition stand illustrate the capabilities of the sensors under realistic operating conditions.

One focus is on wastewater treatment. Precise and stable measured values are indispensable in all process stages: from inflow via pumping stations to sedimentation and aeration to sludge dewatering and
effluent control. Even in the presence of foam, vapours, buildup or changing media conditions, VEGA sensors deliver reliable, reproducible results – also in situations where other measuring methods reach
their limits. This helps to prevent overflows, optimise energy consumption, reduce downtime and stabilise processes over long periods.

VEGA is also presenting solutions for safe and efficient water management – from drinking water supply and flood defence to the monitoring of critical infrastructures. Precise level and pressure measurement technology ensures reliable operation of basins, reservoirs, pipeline networks and open channels. Intelligent level switches support automated alarms and control processes, thus increasing operational safety even under extreme environmental conditions and stresses.

Another topic VEGA is focusing on is digitalisation: Modern IIoT connectivity enables simple integration of sensors into existing control systems and ensures reliable monitoring of all critical process conditions
during continuous operation. The acquired measurement data becomes decision-relevant information, enabling predictive maintenance and increasing plant availability. The combination of robust measurement
technology and intelligent data utilisation makes water and wastewater treatment plants efficient, reliable and fit for the future.

Robust Level Measurement Technology for Bulk Solids – VEGA at SOLIDS
VEGA, as a specialist in level and pressure measurement technology, will present its proven sensor solutions for the bulk solids industry at SOLIDS from March 18th to 19th, 2026 – at Stand 5-P14 – in Dortmund. The focus will be on solutions for demanding applications in the bulk solids industry where reliability and easy integration are crucial. Reliable level measurement is a central challenge in the bulk solids and process industries – especially under demanding conditions such as dust, noise, build-up, vibrations, or changing process parameters. VEGA offers solutions for this that operate precisely and with low maintenance even under these extreme environments. The focus is on the VEGAPULS 6X with a purge air connection. The universally applicable radar sensor guarantees safe level measurement, even with heavy dust development or antenna contamination. The measuring portfolio is completed by the proven vibration limit switches VEGAVIB and VEGAWAVE. Whether fine powder or coarse bulk solids – the robust sensors reliably report any exceeding or falling below defined limit levels, thus ensuring a smooth process flow. With its robust sensors, VEGA demonstrates

Automate without an entry threshold How VEGA’s IoT level measurement technology is paving the way for automated logistics
Automate without an entry threshold
How VEGA’s IoT level measurement technology is paving the way for automated logistics For a long time, level measurement was a simple, local issue in the process industry. Sensors detected whether a container was empty or full, sometimes providing percentage values, but rarely integrating the results into larger systems. However, this view of measurement technology has changed fundamentally. Today, it’s no longer just about individual measuring points, but about networked systems: about greater transparency, higher efficiency – and about making decisions automatically, before they become urgent. VEGA recognised this transition early on and helped shape it – with, among other things, the autonomous VEGAPULS Air radar sensor, VEGA Inventory System, the APL communication standard and universal Bluetooth connectivity. The goal of these developments is to make logistics processes not only more efficient but also more proactive. At the centre of all this is the concept of user-friendliness: Solutions should make everyday work noticeably easier. Step

Radar level sensors from VEGA: The smart choice for standard processes
Simple, smart and reliable – these characteristics have enabled the BASIC series of VEGAPULS radar sensors to establish itself as the benchmark in level measurement technology since its market launch in 2020. Compact, attractively priced and technologically superior, the sensors are setting a clear trend in process automation. VEGA is now celebrating a milestone: The 500,000th BASIC radar sensor was recently delivered to a European company specializing in sustainable building materials. There, a VEGAPULS 31 precisely measures levels in bulk solids silos – despite dust, noise and coarse material. Clear evidence of what has distinguished the sensor series from the very beginning: reliable measurement technology for typical applications – with minimal installation effort. With its specially developed 80-GHz radar chip, robust housing materials like PVDF, fully encapsulated electronics and industrial-grade PUR cabling, the series is designed for the toughest conditions – for example in water management, chemicals or bulk material logistics. VEGA is currently the only supplier offering radar level sensors with fully encapsulated electronic components and connection

Digital instrument documentation for the process industry
VEGA simplifies digital instrument documentation for the process industry What to do about overflowing filing cabinets and time-consuming document searches? For the process industry, instrumentation maker VEGA promotes the use of standardised, digital data packages in accordance with VDI 2770, thereby boosting efficiency. Users get fast, structured access to all relevant product documents and can even automate the documentation of entire process engineering systems. Digital documents instead of a flood of paper “A thick ring binder full of paper documents for just one measuring point is unfortunately not that unusual,” says Stefan Kaspar, Product Manager at VEGA, describing the current situation. “All in all, this creates a huge mountain of paper that our customers have to spend a lot of time and manpower on.” VEGA is now putting an end to this: Making documents available according to VDI 2770 in a structured, machine-readable format enables automated processing and saves valuable working time. Structured data, high efficiency Plant
