LUM Autumn Events 2026

LUM to Present at Major Autumn 2026 Events Across Europe and Japan

LUM GmbH presents its expertise in particle characterization and dispersion stability at nine events in Germany, Poland and Japan in October and November 2026, from CMP slurries and cosmetics to adhesives. Sepawa Berlin: stand D532.
LUM is preparing for an eventful and impactful close to 2026, with a strong line-up of conference presentations, customer events, and trade fair appearances across Europe and Japan. From October through November, our experts will demonstrate how LUM's analytical instruments deliver valuable insights for a wide range of applications, from fundamental particle characterization to complex industrial dispersions.

October Highlights: Particle Characterization and Cosmetics

The season begins on 7–8 October with two parallel events. At the University of Duisburg-Essen, Prof. Lerche will speak at the Particle Based Materials Symposium 2026 on "Electrokinetic properties of 'hard' and 'soft' particles and its relevance to stability classification of dispersions. Zetapotential – Sedimentation behavior" - a topic that powerfully underscores LUM's deep expertise in particle analysis.

Simultaneously in Bremen, Uwe Rietz will present at the 12th Fachsymposium Polymerverguss (Fraunhofer IFAM) on the characterization of adhesives and adhesive bonds using analytical centrifugation.

On 13–14 October, LUM will host an in-house customer event parallel to the Sepawa trade fair. Up to 16 visitors from the cosmetics industry will be welcomed for a small excursion to our facilities. From 14:00 to approximately 16:30 pm, guests will experience exciting live demonstrations on both days, where cosmetic samples such as sunscreen, nail polish, and nail polish remover will be analyzed using LUM measurement technology. Registration is open until October 9 via event@lum-gmbh.de.

From 14–16 October, LUM will exhibit at the Sepawa trade fair at the Estrel in Berlin (Stand D532). Our team will be onsite, introducing LUM's innovative measuring instruments to experts from cosmetics, personal care, and raw material companies. LUM will also be represented with a poster in the Forum for Innovations.

On 14–15 October, Dr. M. A. Hood will present "Orthogonal Characterization OF Complex Nanodispersion IN Research AND Industry" at Inter Nano Poland in Katowice. Together with our Polish distributor, NGLab, he will inform potential and existing customers about LUM's solutions.

On 29–30 October, LUM will be present for the first time at the CMP & Wet User Meeting in Dresden. LUM will be present with a presentation and as a Basic Sponsor with a small tabletop exhibition. We are very much looking forward to getting to know this expert community!

November Highlights: Global Reach and Specialized Applications

From 1–6 November, Prof. Lerche will represent LUM at the Okinawa Colloids Conference in Japan, putting LUM on the global stage at this international conference.

On 3–4 November, Mr. Rietz will represent LUM at the Klebstoffseminar (Adhesives Seminar) in Jena.

On 18–19 November, Dr. Uhl will speak at the annual SKZ course on color and pigment dispersions in Selb, presenting on the topic of stability analysis.

Seminar LUM Berlin: live demos and sample testing for Sepawa visitors
Join LUM for an exclusive afternoon of live instrument demonstrations, expert consultations, and real-sample testing: suncreen, nail polish, and -remover. Free shuttle from Sepawa 2026, coffee & cake included. Limited to 8 participants per group. Register now at event@lum-gmbh.de! In the fast-evolving world of cosmetic science, data-driven decisions separate breakthrough formulas from also-rans. Yet too often, formulators rely on indirect metrics or delayed lab results to assess stability, particle size, and formulation performance. LUM GmbH invites you to change that - with a unique, immersive afternoon that puts measurement technology directly into your hands. On October 13 and 14, 2026, in conjunction with Sepawa 2026, LUM opens its headquarters in Berlin-Adlershof for an exclusive hands-on experience. The event kicks off with a convenient shuttle pickup at 1:30 PM from Booth D532 (LUM) at the Estrel venue. From there, you’ll travel to the state-of-the-art LUM facility, where science meets applications. Space is intentionally limited to a maximum of 8 participants per group. This small-group format ensures every attendee gets hands-on time at each instrument station and personalized attention from the LUM team. Given the high demand for such interactive sessions during Sepawa, early registration is essential. To secure your spot, simply email to event@lum-gmbh.de. Jessica Fröhlich, the senior event and marketing coordinator will handle your reservation and answer any logistical questions. Don’t let this opportunity pass. Register today at event@lum-gmbh.de, and experience firsthand how LUM’s technology turns complex stability questions into clear, actionable answers.
13.10.2026 – 14.10.2026 | Seminar | 2 days | Berlin | Entry: Free (after registration)
