Exploring internationally the hidden secrets through X-ray Insights

LUM GmbH welcomes international partners to exchange information on the latest analytical solutions

From February 9th to 11th, LUM GmbH will once again welcome its international sales partners to exchange information on the latest analytical solutions for customer inquiries in the fields of particle and dispersion characterization and materials testing. The event will take place as the 24th International Sales Meeting, for the first time at the new location at Wagner-Régeny-Str. 16 in Berlin-Adlershof.

Special training LUMiReader

Training on the new Gravity Separation & Particle Analyser LUMiReader. X-Ray 440 is a key focus, as this new product takes the applicability of X-ray STEP technology to a new level. It is now possible to comprehensively characterize inorganic particles and their formulations from various perspectives using just one analyser. This significantly expands the range of applications for dispersions, suspoemulsions, and emulsions. Powders, foams, chemical solutions, flat solid objects, and particles in solid matrices become accessible.

Environmentally friendly and rapid sample analysis

LUM’s concept of environmentally friendly and rapid sample analysis, achieved by reducing the required sample volume, avoiding contact between the sample and the instrument, and eliminating the need for chemical additives and solvents through closed measuring cells, while simultaneously delivering high analytical information content—is gaining increasing international importance. Long-standing sales partners from around the world and representatives of LUM subsidiaries will be exchanging information on this topic with experts at the Berlin headquarters.
Last but not least, the participants enjoy the diverse evening program, because Berlin is always worth a visit.

Exploring the Hidden Secrets of Inorganic Particles and Formulations
through X-ray Insights - LUM GmbH offers new solutions with the Gravity Separation & Particle Analyser LUMiReader® X-Ray 440 The new Gravity Separation & Particle Analyzer LUMiReader® X-Ray 440 now complements the product range of LUM GmbH. Based on the patented and decades-proven STEP-Technology® (Space and Time resolved Extinction Profiles) and building on the success and positive feedback of its predecessor, the LUMiReader X-Ray 434, the new product takes the applicability of X-ray-STEP-technology to a new level. It is now possible to comprehensively characterize inorganic particles and their formulations from different perspectives using a single analyser. This significantly expands the range of applications for dispersions, suspoemulsions, and emulsions. Powders, foams, chemical solutions, flat solid objects, and particles in solid matrices become accessible. The multifunctionality of the LUMiReader X-Ray 440 is already evident in the determination of essential particle properties: size distributions according to ISO 13317-3, density according to ISO 18747, effective agglomerate

LUM GmbH relocates its global headquarters in Berlin-Adlershof. LUM GmbH is one of the world’s leading providers of analytical instrumentation solutions in the fields of particle characterization, direct and accelerated dispersion stability testing, material testing by centrifugal adhesion testing, and product parameter determination. As part of its strategy for further development, LUM GmbH is now relocating its headquarters from Justus-von-Liebig-Strasse 3 to Wagner-Régeny-Strasse 16, 12489 Berlin-Adlershof. Susanne Lerche-Merchant, CEO of LUM GmbH, said: ”After 13 years at Justus-von Liebig-Strasse, where we were able to continue growing in the spirit of the renowned chemist, we would like to thank all partners who made this possible. We were able to further expand our portfolio of customer solutions, but have now reached spatial limitations. At our new location at Wagner-Régeny-Straße 16, deliberately remaining within the Berlin-Adlershof Science and Technology Park, we have moved into a completely renovated and

Seminar rheology, stability and particle characterisation (in German)
means mastering the challenges. The popular cooperation seminar on rheology, stability and particle characterisation will take place again in May. Stability tests and rheological measurements using sedimentation techniques based on STEP-Technology® are becoming increasingly important in research and development as well as in quality assurance. The rheological properties of disperse systems and the adsorption processes at their boundary phases are decisive for their stability, processing behaviour and performance properties.
