Proven closed liquid transfer system in pharma processes
In pharma production, internal liquid transfer is often seen as logistics, but it directly impacts process reliability, product quality, and reproducibility. In pharmaceutical production, internal liquid transfer is often still viewed as a purely logistical step. In reality, however, it has a direct impact on process reliability, product quality, and reproducibility. The CSTS (Closed Liquid TransferSystem) from Bolz Intec has been used in this context for years. It enables the closed transport of liquids between process stages such as reactors, filters, or dryers—without contact with the environment and without opening the system. Asymmetrical drum funnels
Asymmetrical drum funnels for controlled filling and emptying of drums and similar containers. Asymmetric funnels are used primarily in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries and are designed for applications with high requirements for material resistance, hygiene, and process reliability. Manufactured from austenitic stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L). This material offers high corrosion resistance to aggressive media as well as good mechanical properties and is suitable for contact with sensitive products. The asymmetrical design supports targeted material flow and facilitates largely complete emptying, thereby reducing product residues and losses. To improve cleanability, the inner surfaces are treated using the Optimized Grind Finishing (OGF) process. The resulting surface roughness of Ra < 0.25 µm reduces particle adhesion and supports hygienic cleaning processes.
