Variations in composition, segregation during transport, or uneven feeding can negatively impact the homogeneity of the final product. Fertira has partnered with Poeth to double its production capacity. By adding two new pressing lines and massive solar power, the expansion ensures high-precision, sustainable fertilizer output. Doubling Capacity with Advanced Pressing Lines In order to maintain production capacity now and in the future, Fertira decided in 2024 to expand the existing factory with two additional pressing lines, thereby doubling capacity. In addition, the silo block for raw material storage had to be significantly enlarged and more bulk storage had to be created for the pellets and crumbs produced. ‘The starting points for the new factory were minimal product damage, minimal drag and high accuracy and homogeneity of the mixtures,’ says Isabel. ‘We also felt it was essential for the new factory to offer maximum flexibility.
