Flooding of fine powders is no problem for Poeth Z-Conveyors

Poeth recently realized for the company P.C. van Tuijl Kesteren B.V. a complete mixing line for calf milk replacer powders and feed concentrates.
In particular, residue-freeness / carry-over was one of the most important spearheads.

The total project includes:

  • intake of raw materials from big bags and bagged goods
  • pre-breaking of lumpy powders
  • control sieving + metal detection
  • fine grinder
  • Nauta mixer
  • control sieving
  • transport to silos and/or packaging
  • big-bag filling line with rails (settlement of airy powders)

A wide range of powders are pre-tested on the Z-Conveyor in the Poeth test facility. Extensive testing has been carried out to determine which configuration is most suitable for this diverse range of products such as fro example:
  • high fat content (such as e.g. fat cores)
  • very fine aqueous powders
  • abrasive powders
  • mixtures that are sensitive to separation

The complete engineering of the new factory was provided by John Swinkels (Project Engineer - Poeth) in close collaboration with van Tuijl. Various parts were purchased by the client himself, the rest was supplied by Poeth. The whole is assembled by Poeth complete with platforms and steel construction.

Together we look back on a very successful collaboration in this already 3rd project that we have been able to deliver for Van Tuijl.

Growing demand for Poeth filters
Increasing delivery times and transport costs of products from Asia increase the demand for Poeth filters. Poeth has tripled its production capacity for semi-finished products. “We are for the production of our dust filters not dependent on deliveries from parts from Asia or other distant places”, says Commercial Director Loe Verheijen - Poeth Solids Processing. “Almost all parts of our dust filters are produced in-house. Which means that we also can offer and supply tailor-made Filters. (rectangular and cylindrical bag filters) Recently there has been installed a new LVD fiber laser cutting machine with coupled a CNC bending machine to be even more efficient and work more accurately. Thanks to modern software is no longer necessary between engineering and the production of semi-finished products.” Poeth therefore has the production capacity for semi-finished products tripled, what the outsourcing of this work superfluous has made. “So there are many fewer transport movements. Which is not only much more efficient, but above all better for the environment.” Since the transportation costs for sea containers and delivery

Poeth Airbelt for green power plant in Turkey
At a power plant in Turkey, the biological fuel is transported with a Poeth airborne conveyor. This leads to 40% energy reduction and 75% less maintenance, compared to a traditional belt conveyor. The new power plant of MAV Elektrik in Göynük, Bolu (Turkey) converts chicken manure into green electricity. The biological fuel is transported with an Airbelt or airborne conveyor belt from Poeth Solids Processing. By: Loe Verheijen At the beginning of 2020, MAV Elektrik started the construction of a power plant that converts approximately 250,000 tons of chicken manure into 35 MWe of green electricity every year. The power station supplies power to approximately 100,000 households, with significantly lower CO2 emissions than a coal-fired power station. The ash produced – about 35,000 tons – is used as fertilizer. Airborne Tire The chicken manure is fed to the combustion boilers with an Airbelt from Poeth Solids Processing. This airconveyor or airborne conveyor belt has been selected by the Danish system integrator Aalborg Energie Technik. The choice for Poeth was partly inspired by the positive Airbelt experiences of BMC in Moerdijk, where chicken manure

Poeth’s Z-Bulk Loader minimizes cross contamination
The new Z-Bulkloader from Poeth enables dust-free unloading of big bags and sacks without unnecessary loss of raw material. The requirements for unloading raw materials in bulk trucks are increasing. To respond to this demand, Poeth has developed the new Z-Bulkloader with the following advantages: * Virtually no product carry-over or contamination * 85% less energy consumption * Fully ATEX safe (< 1 m/s) * Compact design => no platform required * Lower purchase costs * Unloading dust-free Big-Bags and bags The principle is based on the Z-Conveyor chain transport. The Z-Conveyor has really taken off in recent years and is used in a wide variety of industries. Two Z-Conveyors are available to test the most diverse products in Poeth’s test room. Unloading big-bags and bags dust-free The big-bag unloading station is equipped with a big-bag outlet hose clamping system, which guarantees a tight connection of the big-bag hose. The optionally integrated bag dust cabin is equipped with extraction and ensures an ergonomic and dust-free discharge of bagged goods. Because

Poeth Z-belt Conveyor very suitable for sensitive products
Driessen Food Extrusion is very satisfied with the Poeth Z-belt Conveyor, used for sensitive, abrasive products in the new Food Extrusion filling line. Driessen Food Extrusion is very satisfied with the result of the new Food Extrusion filling line. Extrudates are sensitive, abrasive products that, for example, serve as the basis for the crispy exterior of oven croquettes. Gravimetric feeders feed the raw material for the crispy end product to an extruder. The extrudate is dried and then broken up, after which the fragile, abrasive product is packed into large bags via a vibrating screen. Poeth Solids Processing designed and installed a custom big bag unload station and Easy Clean Z-belt to then move the product from the big bags to a packaging machine. In view of the limited height of the building (to just below the roof), assembly was a critical point. Big bag unloading system The hygienically designed big bag unloading system offers space for two bulk bags that can be emptied alternately. Both unloading positions are equipped with a vibrating base and a pneumatic docking system. This makes it possible to connect
