Poeth has introduced a cutting-edge mixing plant in Nazareth Belgium, delivering exceptional efficiency and meeting the highest quality standards. Having recently completed a successful project for baking ingredients, Escaut Valley quickly opted for Poeth’s expertise. The project required a solution that could accommodate limited height and minimize the number of components and machines. Poeth addressed these challenges with a well-thought-out design, focusing on clean-ability and accessibility. Ingredients are conveyed pneumatically from a bag emptying cabinet to the mixer, while a check weigher ensures precise batch contents. A vibrating sieve and metal detector guarantee the mixture is free from foreign bodies. Testing and commissioning The test facility at Poeth features a twin-shaft paddle mixer with liquid addition. Atomized nozzles finely distribute the liquid over the fluidized powder bed, achieving a dry mix homogeneity of 1:100,000 within 50 seconds. Poeth hammermils are specialy designed for the grinding of raw materials in the feedmill and associated industries. For the grinding of special ingredients where cleanability and accessibility are important, a new series of hammer mills has been developed especially for smaller capacities. The mills have single-sided bearings and are therefore extra easily accessible. The standard P30 hammer mills can also be equipped with a higher hygiene version. A test setup is available to determine feasibility/capacity and correct configuration. Operation A fully automatic drum-feeder dosis an as large as possible quantity of the material into the mill where it is finely ground through the braker plates and perforated screens.
