Poeth Vegetable Proteign Solutions

Poeth realizes vegetable protein grinding line

Poeth Solids Processing has realized a milling process for vegetable raw materials as a system integrator at RMG BV. Poeth supplied the complete air management from his own house.

Over the past five years, the market for meat substitutes has grown by an average of four percent annually, but that growth is accelerating. An increase of ten percent is expected next year. This development is driving up the demand for vegetable proteins. RMG BV in De Klomp (near Veenendaal), supplier of vegetarian raw materials, has therefore invested in a new grinding line for protein-rich products such as soy, peas and grains.

Air management

A Hosokawa Alpine fine grinding mill is located in the process line. RMG approached various system integrators for the air management of the process, including Poeth Solids Processing from Tegelen. The fact that Poeth was chosen is due to the company’s extensive experience with the realization of complete processes in which filters and air transport are of crucial importance. RMG is also very satisfied with the systems Poeth has already supplied to the company.

Total concept

“We started building mills for wind and water turbines 100 years ago,” says Loe Verheijen, commercial technical director at Poeth Solids Processing. “We develop transport systems for bulk materials and we also produce hammer mills. These can grind products to approximately 200 microns. Grinding mills are not part of our delivery program, but we can fit them perfectly into a total concept.”

Poeth receives order for turnkey brewery project in Nigeria
Poeth Solids Processing has been awarded an order for the treatment, storage and handling of malt and admixtures for one of the largest beer breweries in the world. This project will soon be realized in Nigeria. History Poeth has been in the brewing industry since its inception in 1921. Willem Poeth (founder) supplied his first mills for local small breweries Hammer mills The project also includes two Poeth P15 Hammermills, the largest of which is equipped with a 315 kW drive. Completely Atex proof. Poeth has its own Hammermill test installation. Pre-testing of raw materials can be very interesting in many cases, e.g. the mill and/or filter should not be made unnecessarily large. This results in lower costs for, for example, a frequency converter / cabling, but also energy consumption. Z-Conveyor With the Z-Conveyor, dry substances such as malt, barley and rice can be transported horizontally, diagonally and vertically to great heights. The Z-Conveyor gently transports raw materials. This makes the transport system particularly suitable for malt and barley in this brewery. The required installation height is very compact compared to traditional transport systems. ATEX

Flooding of fine powders is no problem for Poeth Z-Conveyors
Poeth recently realized for the company P.C. van Tuijl Kesteren B.V. a complete mixing line for calf milk replacer powders and feed concentrates. In particular, residue-freeness / carry-over was one of the most important spearheads. The total project includes: - intake of raw materials from big bags and bagged goods - pre-breaking of lumpy powders - control sieving + metal detection - fine grinder - Nauta mixer - control sieving - transport to silos and/or packaging - big-bag filling line with rails (settlement of airy powders) A wide range of powders are pre-tested on the Z-Conveyor in the Poeth test facility. Extensive testing has been carried out to determine which configuration is most suitable for this diverse range of products such as fro example: - high fat content (such as e.g. fat cores) - very fine aqueous powders - abrasive powders - mixtures that are sensitive to separation The complete engineering of the new factory was provided by John Swinkels (Project Engineer - Poeth) in close collaboration with van Tuijl. Various parts were purchased by the client himself, the rest was supplied

Ergonomic filling of big bags: no more backpain
Poeth has developed a new generation of big bag fillers with greatly improved ergonomics. The big bag filling stations feature several improvements. Poeth has developed a new generation of big bag fillers with greatly improved ergonomics. The big bag filling stations feature the following improvements. Improvements * tiltable filling head * movable hooks * automatic release of big bag loops * automatic buttoning of filling trunk * automatic stacking of big bags Tiltable filling head By making the filling head tiltable, it is much more accessible for the operator. Certainly with high capacities (> 20 big bags per hour) this can prevent back complaints. Movable hooks The loops of the big bag must be hung on hooks. The rear hooks are often difficult to reach. By making the hooks mobile, they slide forward so that the loops can be easily attached. This also prevents unnecessary back pain. Automatic release of big bag loops After filling, the loops are automatically disconnected. The system is also suitable for a very wide range of big-bag dimensions, without manually moving the suspension hooks. Further

Poeth Airbelt for green power plant in Turkey
At a power plant in Turkey, the biological fuel is transported with a Poeth airborne conveyor. This leads to 40% energy reduction and 75% less maintenance, compared to a traditional belt conveyor. The new power plant of MAV Elektrik in Göynük, Bolu (Turkey) converts chicken manure into green electricity. The biological fuel is transported with an Airbelt or airborne conveyor belt from Poeth Solids Processing. By: Loe Verheijen At the beginning of 2020, MAV Elektrik started the construction of a power plant that converts approximately 250,000 tons of chicken manure into 35 MWe of green electricity every year. The power station supplies power to approximately 100,000 households, with significantly lower CO2 emissions than a coal-fired power station. The ash produced – about 35,000 tons – is used as fertilizer. Airborne Tire The chicken manure is fed to the combustion boilers with an Airbelt from Poeth Solids Processing. This airconveyor or airborne conveyor belt has been selected by the Danish system integrator Aalborg Energie Technik. The choice for Poeth was partly inspired by the positive Airbelt experiences of BMC in Moerdijk, where chicken manure

Poeth ZHM sieving machine with self cleaning sifter
Due high-frequency vibration of the screen deck, the screen is self cleaning. Other benefits: Screen change within 30 sec; High screening efficiency. Poeth ZHM The principle of the Poeth ZHM sieving machine is based on high-frequency vibration movements. This is possible because only the screen deck is vibrated and not the entire machine. Only the necessary mass inertia (screen deck) is vibrated. Sieve efficiency Because the screen deck is set in a high-frequency vibration, it is possible to achieve a much higher screening efficiency in comparison with conventional vibrating or protective screening machines. Vibrations on building / steel construction nil Because the mass that is set into vibration is very small, the vibrations that are transferred to the steel construction and/or building are virtually nil. Thus, no heavy support with great rigidity is required. Sieve change in < 30 sec The flexible screen deck is automatically tensioned and can be changed in less than 30 seconds. Self cleaning / automatic cleaning The unique thing about this system is that, after “x” operating hours, the
