Poeth Big-Bag/Octabin filling line for almonds

Nuts such as blanched almonds and apricot kernels require customized detail solutions. For Poeth Solids Processing, customization is almost an everyday occurrence, and recently realized a complete process line consisting of :

Big-Bag Octabin filling line
Pneumatic conveying system
Sifting system
Weighing screw conveyors
Screw conveyors
Silo hoppers
Filter

Especially cleanability, breakage and smearing due to high fat content require extra attention. A special sieving system was developed in consultation with the client especially for this application. Sifting this fatty product is not possible with traditional vibrating screen machines.

Conveying of Carbon Black / Silica / Graphite
Conveying of Carbon Black / Silica / Graphite
Carbon Black Powdered carbon black is a very fine fluid-like powder with an extremely low bulk density. These fine powders, often referred to as “fluff,” can be challenging to handle and convey. Care must be taken to avoid the powder caking and clogging the conveyor, resulting in downtime and increased safety hazards during maintenance and cleaning. Additionally, finely powdered carbon black can easily become airborne, making controlling dust emissions of utmost importance. The Poeth Z-Conveyor is ideal due to low speed conveying (< 1 m/s) and very and a very low air displacement flow rate, and therefor ATEX safe without additional facilities Silica and Graphite Silica and Graphite are very fine and can pass through filter cloths. Since the product is harmful when inhaled, it is important to minimize the amount of air movement. The Z-Conveyor moves the least air volume compared to all other vertical conveyors. Due to the minimal clearances, the conveyor

Poeth Hammermill line for residual flows from breweries/malthouses
Poeth Hammermill line for residual flows from breweries/malthouses
Poeth delivered a hammer mill line for grinding high-quality residual flows such as malt germ from breweries/malthouses. The line will have a grinding capacity of 14 tons/hour. In the preliminary phase, extensive tests were carried out in Poeth’s test facility, so that the correct configuration could be determined. A weighing screw ensures controlled pre-dosing of the mill with an accuracy of 1-2%. After grinding the product, the water is added to a solid-liquid mixer in the correct ratio via a flow meter and finally pumped to a bulk truck, where it can be delivered in liquid form to the animal feed industry. Malt sprouts, also known as germs or sprouts, are the first small green shoots that sprout from malt grains during the germination process. These germinating grains are often used in making malt extract or brewing beer. The nutritional value of malt sprouts varies, but in general they contain a good amount of nutrients, including protein, fiber, vitamins

State-of-the-Art Mixing Plant by Poeth for the Escaut Valley
Poeth has introduced a cutting-edge mixing plant in Nazareth Belgium, delivering exceptional efficiency and meeting the highest quality standards. Having recently completed a successful project for baking ingredients, Escaut Valley quickly opted for Poeth’s expertise. The project required a solution that could accommodate limited height and minimize the number of components and machines. Poeth addressed these challenges with a well-thought-out design, focusing on clean-ability and accessibility. Ingredients are conveyed pneumatically from a bag emptying cabinet to the mixer, while a check weigher ensures precise batch contents. A vibrating sieve and metal detector guarantee the mixture is free from foreign bodies. Testing and commissioning The test facility at Poeth features a twin-shaft paddle mixer with liquid addition. Atomized nozzles finely distribute the liquid over the fluidized powder bed, achieving a dry mix homogeneity of 1:100,000 within 50 seconds. Thanks to meticulous preparation during the engineering phase, the assembly and commissioning were completed swiftly. Quality through leading-edge

Easy clean Poeth Hammermill
Poeth hammermils are specialy designed for the grinding of raw materials in the feedmill and associated industries. For the grinding of special ingredients where cleanability and accessibility are important, a new series of hammer mills has been developed especially for smaller capacities. The mills have single-sided bearings and are therefore extra easily accessible. The standard P30 hammer mills can also be equipped with a higher hygiene version. A test setup is available to determine feasibility/capacity and correct configuration. Operation A fully automatic drum-feeder dosis an as large as possible quantity of the material into the mill where it is finely ground through the braker plates and perforated screens. Meal discharge occurs via a separate high pressure fan, or by a mechanical conveying system, with a medium pressure fan. Construction Strong atractively styled welded housing with large access door. Rotor mounted on a robust shaft on ball bearings dynamic balanced motor. Mill and motor are mounted on a platform with vibration absorbers. All worn parts can be

Poeth Z- or C-conveyor ideal when height is limited
With the Z conveyor in the C design, an elevation step can be achieved relatively easily. The conveyor is also suitable for very watery products. It is often the case that an additional screening stage or metal detection stage needs to be incorporated into an existing situation. However, there is not enough height. With the Z conveyor in the C design, an elevation step can be achieved relatively easily. The conveyor is also suitable for very watery products. Application The Incline flight conveyor is designed for handling a variety of dry, free flowing bulk materials (also suitable for fine powders) either horizontally, on an incline or a combination of both. Operation The plastic flights are carried by a chain, all contained in a standard trough. Bulk Materials flow smoothly and gently. All materials are carried “en masse” without tumbling, thereby keeping material agitation and friction to a minimum. Particle degradation and separation are also minimized. Construction - standard intermediate sections. - Bend sections 15°,30°,45°,60°,75° and 90° - Sprocket-idler return system. - All-steel
