Three huge cooling screw heat exchangers with a diameter of 800 mm for a HVC drinking water treatment plant Poeth Solids Processing is currently busy with the construction of a turnkey project for HVC drinking water treatment plant Alkmaar in the Netherlands. Last month our professionals have been busy producing 3 huge cooling screw heat exchangers with a diameter of 800 mm. Our test facility in Tegelen, together with a mathematical model, forms the basis for the final design of the cooling screw heat exchangers. On-site installation is currently underway. The screw heat exchangers are widely used in circular projects. Many valuable waste streams are dried and come out of a dryer at a high temperature. After drying, the product often needs to be cooled back down so that it can be safely filled e.g. a silo, big-bag or bulk truck.

After 29 years of operation, the waste wood recycling plant of the Gigler company was refurbished. Production manager Alexander Schönacher optimized the plant together with HejuTec and FB Ketten. The result: a more efficient and reliable plant. Challenge and objective The refurbishment of the waste wood recycling plant was a demanding task. The objective was to renew the wear components, eliminate bottlenecks in the conveyor system and ensure operational reliability and performance for the next three years through technical optimization.
