This means that the devices can also be used in dust hazardous areas (zone 21/22) for level monitoring of bulk goods e.g. in chemical, forage and food industry or plastics processing. A synchronous motor drives a shaft at which a rotating vane is fastened at the lower end. When this rotating vane is decelerated or stopped by bulk solid, the engine moves over the pivoted gear from one end position to the other and thereby switches two micro switches, one shutting down the engine and the other providing an alert signal for display of limit level. When the level decreases, rotating vanes are released again and the motor is pulled into its primary position by the force of a spring. Thereby the motor is switched on again and working contact is switched back. The mechanical connection is via flange or screw connection without any problem.

Solving the problem of fluctuating production rates and short life cycles Old heating pumps are secret power guzzlers. Few people think about these hidden “service providers” when seeking to save on electricity. Even with oil and gas heating systems, electric pumps ensure that hot water circulates from the boiler to the radiators and the hot water points. Many old pumps operate round the clock, even if no water is being heated or drawn off. On the other hand, modern, intelligent heating pumps only switch on when they are needed. ETI selected Royal Dahlman in an open tender process, in which the world’s most advanced and innovative gasification technologies competed for a partially funded design and project development phase. ETI will select the winning design after 10 months, resulting in the realization of the plant. ETI selected the three most interesting technology proposals based upon: • Full integration of waste segregation, gasification, gas clean up and power generation. • Typical UK waste as fuel. • Technology that is commercially viable at 5 to 20 MWe scale. • Robust operability. • An overall net electric efficiency >25% . BEUMER delivers 16 belt conveyors to Brazilian mining group - Largest order for conveying systems Vale Malaysia Minerals Sdn Bhd (VMM), a subsidiary of Brazilian mining group Vale SA headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, has awarded the BEUMER Group an order to supply 16 overland conveyors. For the specialist intralogistics company, this is the largest order in the conveying and loading systems product segment in the company’s history. Vale intends to set up an iron ore distribution centre in Teluk Rubiah, Manjung District, in Perak. At the facility, iron ore will arrive from Brazil and then be blended and shipped to the customers throughout the Asia-pacific region. Vale wants to use the BEUMER troughed belt conveyors off the Malaysian coast, in the Strait of Malacca, for transporting iron ore from very large ore carriers (VLOC) to smaller vessels in a specially designed port and storage facility. Optimised filling technology with the BEUMER fillpac R The intralogistics professional BEUMER has expanded its product portfolio with the rotating filling machine BEUMER fillpac R. This machine, designed for capacities of 300 to 6,000 bags per hour, can fill all types of valve bags. The complementary bag placing technology for all common bag types rounds out the product portfolio. The weight accuracy of the bags is guaranteed by a calibratable weighing unit. Together with a special bag placer, the BEUMER fillpac R can fill even woven polypropylene bags. The three-position cylinder that regulates the coarse and fine flow is protected from dust, because it is positioned vertically and outside of the dirty area. KSE receives order via Ottevanger Milling Engineers for a considerable expansion of the bulk outloading at Aveve Veevoeding Aalter, Belgium. The expansion realizes flexibility and a more efficient throughput of the existing bulk outloading. Less waiting time for trucks, faster loading of trucks, more efficient use of stocks, less logistic handling, these are all reasons for Aveve to ask Ottevanger to expand their bulk outloading. To realize this order, Ottevanger includes systems of KSE Process Technology. From silos, finished product is transported via five movable ALFRA bulk weighers. They deliver it to seven movable ALFRA Bulk Batch Transports (BBT). The BBT’s deliver the finished product to counter bins which load the trucks. A paddle mixer is also supplied by Ottevanger. In line with modernisation measures, it was decided that the material supply for the production of lids should be changed to an automated silo solution instead of the previous supply using sacks, which was very personnel intensive. Looking for Pioneers! Utange Project Ursula Stein from Betzigau, Board Member of the voluntary organsiation Utange, supports children in Kenia. With the slogan “Looking for Pioneers” Frau Stein’s aim was to inspire local companies to support her new project in Kenia to finance a pre-school and a small primary school on a piece of land which was given to them by a pastor. As Uwe Niekrawietz, managing director of UWT and his wife are already „godparents“of three children in Kenia - organized through the Utange project (two children sponsored privately and one through the company) they could not say „No“ to this appeal.
