Ohm Guard - Newson Gale Hose Continuity Tester
Ohm Guard - Newson Gale
Hose Continuity Tester The OhmGuard® Hose Continuity Tester is designed to test hoses used on vacuum trucks and tanker trucks prior to the transfer of flammable or combustible products. The OhmGuard® verifies that the electrical conductivity of the hose is functioning correctly, ensuring static electricity is not permitted to accumulate on the metal components of the hose which will eliminate the risk of a fire or explosion caused by the discharge of a static spark. The OhmGuard® is easy and quick to use, does not require any specialist operator training and will indicate, within seconds, if the hoses are safe to use.

The new Master-PE L-F EL For the extraction of fumes & gases in the Chemicals Industry
The new Master-PE L-F EL
For the extraction of fumes & gases in the Chemicals Industry With the Master-PE L-EL, Masterflex previously extended its already impressive all-round range with this profile-extruded suction & transport hose made from polyethylene offering an outstanding level of chemical resistance. Now, the product range has been extended even further - this time in the form of an extremely lightweight film hose, which boasts the same excellent chemical resistance and therefore perfect for applications in the chemicals industry. The brand new Master-PE L-F EL is made from electro-conductive polyethylene and is especially suitable for the suction/extraction of chemicals fumes and gases. The PE material offers a much greater chemical resistance in comparison to other hoses made from PU and PVC. A large number of standard materials are quickly deemed unsuitable for the suction and extraction of aggressive solvents, alkaline solutions and fumes. Where similar hoses made from PU and PVC are often limited in their chemical resistance, this

Compressed air technology today is more economical than it has ever been
With innovation it is possible to save energy and further exploit the advantages of proven technolog Compressed air technology provides indispensable services – in the modern day, people no longer think of industry and technology without it. It is compressed air technology which enables the filling of widespread PET bottles with compressed air, and compressed air helps in the purification of water in sewage treatment facilities. However, the economic and energy efficiency factors of compressed air as a working fluid are common topics of criticism. Compressed air technology expert Prof. Dr.-Ing. A. P. Weiß, of the Amberg-Weiden university of applied sciences, has conceded. “In the past, it was the efficacy which most came to the fore […] not the expenditure / benefit ratio”. Climate protection and energy conversion have called for people to revise their thinking. “The focus is now on efficiency.” As it is, economic and scientific fields have for a long time pursued new examples whereby proven technology goes hand in hand with innovation. The common aims

SOLIDS and M+R Antwerpen 2013: 2 successful spring editions!
SOLIDS and M+R Antwerpen 2013: 2 successful spring editions!
This year, the SOLIDS and M+R trade shows were held simultaneously at Antwerp expo. For both events, with a total of 240 exhibitors, this first co-located event proved highly successful. SOLIDS welcomed 1,740 visitors. M+R Antwerpen was attended by 1,370 visitors. Comprehensive conference programme: Market studies were carried out for both events to allow the programme to focus on the sector’s needs and requirements. The need for more information on occupational safety and prevention was considered the top priority both in Belgium and the Netherlands. Other themes high on the agenda of these professionals were process efficiency, sustainability, maintenance and cost savings. This was amply illustrated by the large turnout at the Atex Forum and the Process Engineering Conference during SOLIDS 2013. The themes at M+R Antwerpen were also subjected to a market analysis. This resulted in a total of 12 conferences on such subjects as Atex, flow and level measurements,

Innovation-Award 2013 MOLLET belongs to the top three of innovative enterprises in the category instrumentation
Innovation-Award 2013
MOLLET belongs to the top three of innovative enterprises in the category instrumentation The editorial teams of PROCESS and its sister journals PharmaTEC und Schüttgut were called upon to select the most interesting new products of the companies showing their products at the Powtech/Technopharm 2013 in Nuremberg. After a hard and professional selection process MOLLET received with the MOLOScode-system a place in the top-three list in the in the category instrumentation and automation. With this system confusion at coupling stations of flexible and rigid pipelines belongs to the past. With this technology each pipeline gets its own name. At the pipeline interfaces electronically coded coupling systems with RFID technology are used that give the process control the information which hose is connected to which pipe. Thus significantly increases the production safety and reduces the accident risk.

"With the aid of the VAS IT lo-gistics system, the processes within the cement works are now to be au-tomated gradually, and unmanned loading implemented across the plant". The next step will be the integration into a modern ERP system, which would replace the pre-existing solution. In addition, the processes of sack handling and material deliveries are to be integrated into the VAS IT logis-tics system. "The high flexibility and the possibility of stepwise optimisa-tion of our business processes were major criteria for deciding on Axians. In addition, the VAS IT logistics system has already proven its practicability", explained Kai

Vibrating air separator airvibe 2 separates recycling materials
Vibrating air separator airvibe 2
separates recycling materials APPLICATION: The JOEST AirVibe 2 – Vibratory Air Separator provides a coarse separation of inhomogeneous, mostly dry recycling material with a maximum particle size of 300 mm (12 inches). The material mix is separated by different densities, shapes and surface characteristics into the desired product groups. The unique combination of multistage ballistic and cross flow air separation ensures a very high degree of separation. This opens up new ways in the processing and separation in the recycling industry. PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION: The AirVibe 2 is vibrating with a linear stroke using 2 unbalanced motors. This motion is important for the transport, fluidization and even distribution of the infeed material. An adjustable air knife, positioned at the end of the impact area blows through the material stream. Light material particles like paper, plastic and card board are blown into the expansion room of the AirVibe 2 and discharged at the light material fraction
