AVA mixer-driers are perfectly suited for processing cellulose powder (HPMC). HPMC is used, for instance, as a thickening agent in the food industry, as a humectant in the pharmaceutics industry, or as a bonding agent in the tobacco industry. In a mechanically produced fluid bed and by using centrifugal processing, the cellulose powder is mixed with additives within a very short time, then heated, dried, and cooled off. During this process, the solution water and isopropyl are vaporized. The final humidity amounts to < 3% and the final product will be conveyed to further processing at T< 35°C. The shovels in the mixer are positioned in such way that they fulfill both tasks of mixing and conveying towards the discharge in the middle of the mixer. Square and rectangular wire mesh cloth The standard is already cutting edge. Haver & Boecker stocks a wide range of standard wire mesh as to ISO 14 315 and ISO 9044, which therefore allows customers to find the right mesh for the job at hand. Square mesh wire cloth. Whenever precise cut sizes for loose materials are required or whenever long particles need to be screened, it is essential to use rectangular opening mesh. For processing coarser loose materials, the type of weaving determines the screening behaviour. Wire mesh pre-crimped on both sides, e.g. DOKA weave and DOKA mesh, causes good rotation of the screened material because of its rough three-dimensional surface. The material has much greater chances of falling through the mesh openings and thus leading to successful screening. Moreover, the fine particles are brought to the screen surface more quickly, which accelerates the entire screening process. The faster the fine particles are screened out, the more screen area is left for screening

EHEDG certifies rotary valve to EL class I The youngest member of our CIP product family is the ZFD-CIP blow-through valve. It was recently approved by the EHEDG and awarded the EL class I certificate. The interior and exterior surfaces of the rotary valve are extremely smooth. All corners and edges were designed with a large radius to achieve the best possible cleaning results. Surfaces in contact with the product are polished with a surface roughness of <0.8 µm to prevent even the slightest product residues and contamination by microbial growth. The valve is made of stainless steel type 1.4404/AISI 316L. During fully-automatic wet cleaning the rotary valve remains closed, saving time and money. To ensure that all fluids are fully removed from the interior during drying, we use special seals on the ZFD-CIP blow-through valve which are flush with the front and prevent capillary action.
