SMC has unveiled a new guided cylinder to complement its MGP Series that is filling a gap in the market for a wide guided cylinder that can handle large work pieces. The MGPW has been designed with improved plate rotation torque that is three times larger than the standard MGP Series. This has been achieved by doubling the size of the guide pitch and re-positioning the guide components, which have also led to improvements in the non-rotating accuracy of the plate. Although similar in weight to the MGP, the MGPW has 170% more volume by using anodised aluminium and optimising the dimensions of various components. Easy to set-up and mount, therefore reducing labour costs, the MGPW can be used with two colour D-M9*W indication solid state auto switches or alternative round auto switches which can be fitted directly, removing the need for attaching brackets onto two surfaces of the cylinder. to italian pharma group AVT Europe has produced and delivered two identical transport systems for a pharmaceutical group in Italy. This transporter on air cushions with a lightweight chassis has a maxium capacity of 4 tons and will be deployed in a clean room environment. The application consists to exchange the position of various mixing tanks. The transporter frame as well as certain parts are made out of stainless steel 316L.

On-site assembly of Prorunner mk1 and mk5 Qimarox has made the installation of vertical conveyors faster, easier and cheaper. Thanks to the modular design of the Prorunner mk1 and mk5 it is possible to transport the machine in parts and to assemble it on location. This leads to lower transport costs and prevents all kinds of measures being necessary in order to place fully assembled product elevators in the correct place on location. System integrators can optionally take care of assembly themselves. A fully assembled product elevator takes up a lot more space than all its loose parts together. This means that delivery in parts entails much lower transport costs than the transport of a fully assembled machine. This also means that less space is needed on site to install the machine in the right place. All parts fit through any door and no heavy equipment for unloading and erecting the machine is needed. The new DTM Collection contains functional enhancements for TDR sensors of the VEGAFLEX 80 series, eg Profibus and HART SIL. Functional enhancements for adjustment of other sensors as well as signal conditioning instruments have also been added. All VEGA DTMs available in this version have been checked and released for operation under Microsoft® Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 as well as Windows 8. This also applies to the included version of the adjustment software PACTware 4.1 SP3. All DTMs for adjustment of VEGA sensors and signal conditioning instruments are available in DTM Collection 05/2013. The DTMs describe the functionality of the hardware and allow complete adjustment. Bomatech located at Wijk en Aalburg, the Netherlands has constructed a double shaft paddle mixer wherewith rests easily can removed by product change or cleaning operations. Fore this purpose the manufacturer has created wide wing doors into the trough so access to the shafts and paddles at the inside of the machine is simple. It’s also an advantage that no special construction is necessary for per example to separate the inner works from the mixer body. This means that the required floor area for placing the machine stays reduced to a minimum. Of coarse the mixer has bomb doors and also the trough corners are chamfered to stimulate total discharge by unloading. For adding liquids it’s also possible to install dosing systems on client specifications.
