The Series A4 is ideal for pressure, velocity, and flow applications and includes 2 SPDT relays and a simple programming menu that allows full configuration of variables such as setpoints, dead band, engineering units, flow coefficient, duct size, and many more. Programming can be done on the easy to read OLED display which will also display units of measure, setpoints, or other users defined variables during normal operation. Connection Systems Flexiduct The British firm Connection Systems has appointed Acuradmin (Oud-Vossemeer-NL) as its Benelux distributor. Connection Systems is part of the Terriva Group and specialises in the development and production of new concepts and systems for flexible pipe-connectors. Connection System’s Flexiduct product line consists of a complete range of lightweight flexible silicone connectors to make the joining of similar or different sized pipes simple. The ends are moulded to replace the gasket used in standard quick couplings. For non-flanged pipes the Flexiduct can be attached using a standard band clamp. The ducts will compensate for reasonable levels of misalignment in all planes. The convolutions allow the joint to be made with minimum effort and absorbs vibrations. Due to their flexibility the ducts are ideal for feeding transportation systems, vibrating sieves and applications where quick connection/release of tubes is required. 2 types of Flexiducts are available:

It allows the `recurring function test` for SIL applications to be carried out without influencing the ongoing process. Safety instrumented systems (SIS) that operate in `low demand mode` require regular function checks. The safety indices of the components (sensor, logic and actuator) determine the inspection interval. As a rule, the sensor must be dismounted or contacted by the medium in order to verify the function in such applications. This is a procedure which usually cannot be carried out during ongoing production. Moreover, this way of testing is usually very cost-intensive and filling a process vessel up to the overfill alarm level to verify the sensor function also involves risks. ATHEX`s range of certified static earthing clamps can now be specified with a new Grounding Station. The Grounding Station provides an identifiable location for equipment or plant items that require earthing protection from the hazards of static electricity. Up to two Newson Gale static earthing clamps can be connected to the Grounding Station which is, itself, connected to the site earth. If more than two items of plant equipment require static earthing protection, multiple Grounding Stations can be interconnected to provide a secure and reliable path to earth. Made from stainless steel the stations can be mounted in operating environments ranging from clean rooms to corrosive atmospheres. The Grounding Station also provides operators with an ideal location to stow the earthing clamps when they are not in use.

ChargePoint Technology have released their latest test data, which has validated the entry level ChargePoint valve with an assured containment performance of less than 5µg/m³, demonstrating an improvement in the integrity of the innovative containment valve technology. The basic principle of the ChargePoint valve is to minimize the exposure of airborne particles to the operator and production environment whilst transferring potent ingredients from one piece of process equipment to another. This is achieved by creating a barrier between the product and the operator by means of a closed transfer system, through the use of unique split butterfly valve technology. Testing was carried out by an independent third party, SafeBridge Consultants Inc., during a series of typical controlled powder transfers. Belgian bin producer SCE, Silo Construction & Engineering, has built a new bulk station for animal feed producer ATR in Husum, Germany. Since its establishment in 1988, the company produces and assembles modular square bins in all parts of the world. SCE offers both smooth wall panels as corrugated wall panels. Arp, Thordsen, Rautenberg GmbH & Co. The ADB series are available with three standard probe lengths of 2, 4 or 8 inches (50, 100 and 200mm), and screw directly into a bearing housing through the existing grease zerk thread. There is no need to remove the sensor for bearing lubrication since each sensor is fitted with its own grease zerk. Rotary Level Indicator 4B Braime have launched a new type of rotary level indicator, the RLI “Shaker”. A rotary paddle switch,to detect high / low levels of bulk granular solids in bins, tanks and silos, the RLI "Shaker" can also be used to detect plug conditions in spouts, where long life and failsafe detection is required. Utilizing a unique stepper motor drive, the RLI “Shaker” rotates clockwise, then counter-clockwise and then shakes to shed any excess material build up. If the paddle rotation is impeded at any time by the bulk material then the electronic circuit provides a signal for level indication or control. The RLI “Shaker” uses fewer mechanical parts compared with standard rotary level indicators. No gearbox or clutch is required as the stepper motor drive is directly coupled to the output shaft and is practically indestructible and cannot be damaged by forced or backwards rotation. Our customer, Chongqing Steel, one of the biggest steel manufacturers in China was looking for a reliable content measurement system even in the extremely rough and harsh environment of steel plant applications such as coal, lime stone, iron ore etc.. The particular challenge was to guarantee reliable measurement and ensure easy operational set-up. Previous other technologies failed in the application or would have caused very high maintenance costs (e.g. regular cleaning intervals). The NB3200 measuring system gives added values such us tape version for low maintenance as well as an integrated tape cleaner for the dusty atmospheres. The NB3 assured next to low maintenance & reliable measurement a very long life time on a very difficult application. In total 90 pieces of our NB3200 were installed in the different applications.
