One of the most effective therapies is inhalation. An efficient, easy to handle inhaler facilitates the treatment of the chronically sick and improves quality of life. The automated assembly of drug delivery systems requires the highest quality standards, as always when a person’s health and life are at stake. When assembling an inhaler for the pharmaceutical industry, the first step is to screw the top part of the case to the bottom part and then the mouth piece is clipped into the casing. In medical technology, mistakes in assembly are not acceptable.

A powerfull basic vac for industrial applications T30S is a Basic Very Low End three-phase vac especially designed for take-off countries. Lb 350 Wherever conventional measuring technologies such as microwave or capacitive moisture sensors meet their limits, the neutron measurement technology is a reliable and accurate alternative. The well-proven measuring principle is, for example used to monitor the moisture of coke, sand, sinter and lime sand brick online and continuously. Factors such as temperature, pressure, pH-value or colour of the material don’t have an effect on the measuring performance. The neutron system penetrates deep into the material and measures directly in the material flow. Depending on the application and requirements, either the surface probe (1) or the bunker probe (2) can be used. As a leading global provider of powder handling systems to the pharmaceutical, chemical, food and cosmetic industries, we had a strong presence at this important event, with an impressive stand manned by a strong team. This was the first time our newly opened German subsidiary, Dec DeutschlandGmbh, had attended Powtech, so it proved an excellent opportunity to introduce new staff. On display was our globally implemented PTS Powder System, the Contained Bag Station for the safe emptying of bags, the DCS Drum Containment System connected to a PTS Feeder for accurate drum filling, and the Big Bag Emptying station with massaging unit. We also displayed our Flexible Glove Box with integrated Micronizer MCOne and Nanofeeder.

Safe charging of reactors Safe charging of bags of powder via the PTS (Powder Transfer System) to one or more reactors or other receiving vessels in a safe manner providing containment for both the operator and the surrounding environment. The Contained Bag Station combines the advantages of isolation technology and laminar flow technique, providing a high containment of < 1µg/m³ per 8 h TWA. The main chamber is open to the side elevation to enable easy loading of bagged powder. A simple hinged door is provided to be closed only during WIP to prevent splashes escaping the unit. All WIP fluids can be drained from the chamber via the PTS System into the Reactor also cleaning the powder transfer hose and PTS. Using the gloves the operator will move the bag in to position on the powder charging bars above the hopper. The bag is then split and the powder emptied through the bars into the suction hopper. The empty bag is disposed through the adjacent continuous liner bag-out port. The loaded

New OIML stainless steel IP69K single point load cell The single point load cell BM6G from Zemic has been awarded the OIML R60 approval for ¡±legal-for-trade¡± applications. The PTB in Germany has examined and tested the BM6G and concluded that an approval with a Y-value of 10000 for standard C3 is applicable and a Y-value of 15000 for C3 Multiple Range (MR) should apply. Furthermore a Z-value of 12000 is allowed to be used for both C3 and C3 MR. Approved capacities from 100 kg to 500 kg are available. Samples are also being prepared for a future OIML approval for the capacities 10 - 50 kg. The BM6G has been corner corrected to fit platform sizes up to 800 x 800 mm for 100 to 500kg. The unique selling point for this load cell is the combination of stainless steel and IP69K. IP69K is the Ingress Protection classification for devices that can be cleaned by high pressure water jets. with the moisture measurement sensor hydorpharm The Fluid Bed Moisture Analyser hydorpharm by Döscher & Döscher/ AMS is the innovative inline moisture analyser for fluidised bed dryers. In contrast to the Near Infrared Method (NIR) the hydorpharm is insensitive to contamination of the sensor surface and measures the dampness of the fluidized bed particles independent of density, size, structure and colour. After a calibration by means of a reference method (e.g. Loss Of Dry method (LOD) or the Karl Fischer Tritration) the product moisture is continuously supervised until the target moisture is reached. It’s not necessary to clean the sensor surface during the process. Thereby a careful drying of granulates,pellets and coating particles is feasible. With 413 exhibitors from 24 countries AchemAsia is the most international event for the process industry in China. With 190 exhibitors, China accounted for the largest group, followed by Germany (118), France (23) and the US (11). The exhibitors also commended the internationality of the visitors.
