VDL Industrial Products, based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, has been manufacturing rotary valves since 1969. The VDL cast iron rotary valves are being used in dust collection, as airlocks under dust filters and cyclones. Laarmanns new, modular jaw crusher system At the fair POWTECH Laarmann will introduce his new modular jaw crusher concept. The first model, the LMC400, is already in production. An important issue is that the machine is prepared to expand it with a hydraulic security system to provide damage of unbreakable material. The feed size of this jaw crusher is 400 mm, but is relative easy to change at custom wishes. Especially for expensive plates (as Tungsten Carbide) is this a very important asset.

Big isn`t always better. From Schenck Process there is now an ideal solution for feeding very small volumes of powder, and it`s called MechaTron® Min. Review of Workshop Dispersion Analysis 2011 and Invitation to International Workshop 2012 The »International Workshop Dispersion Analysis« was organized and sponsored by LUM GmbH. The first lecture was given by John Tobin, from the Irish Agriculture and Food Development Authority. Markus Feist from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany, spoke about the sedimentation of unsteady particle systems. Comparison between conventional sedimentation equipment and LUMiReader® results confirmed the agreement between both sedimentation velocity, highlighting the LUMiReader® advantage compared with visual observation by naked eye. Conny Roedel from the IKTS Dresden, Germany, spoke about concentrated dispersion analysis in ceramic processing. An extensive retrofit program instead of a new system proved to be the ideal solution for completely The Jordan Silos & Supply General Company (JSSGC) operates a total of four large bulk storage facilities in Jordan, with a total holding capacity of approximately 450,000 metric tons. One of the four facilities of JSSGC is located in the port of Aqaba on the Red Sea. Aqaba is the only sea port of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Retrofit or new system? The silo facility of the Jordan Silos & Supply General Company in Aqaba has a storage capacity of 150,000 metric tons. The cargo vessels supplying the grain are unloaded by three Bühler ship unloaders. Two of these units date back to the year 1978. For the JSSGC management, the question was to whether this aging unloader was to be replaced by a new one or renewed in order to assure the required long-term unloading capacity in the port of Aqaba. In November 2009, JSSGC, therefore entrusted one of their unloaders to Bühler. The substructure of the unloader was still in sound condition even after 30 years of service.
