Nowadays security isn’t a hollow concept anymore, but a matter that draws more and more attention, and it should!
When cleaning & repairing tanks, some critical points come forward, for example at the works on top of tank trucks or train wagons where the operator, standing on a round tank at a height of 3 meters, has to perform sometimes difficult movements.
Despite a lot of operators go to work with caution, this remains a difficult working situation.
To avoid such dangerous working circumstances, Wiese Europe has designed different types of safety cages. These safety cages can be lowered upon the truck, protecting the operator along all sides and completely excluding a possible fall.
A safe and efficient access to the tanker can be assured with the already known folding stairs, available in different step-numbers and –widths.
Our client, situated in the Port of Antwerp and a mayor player in his branch, was also confronted with these challenges.
At this moment we are finalizing safety systems for the repair & cleaning loaction, designed tailor -made for this client. In working position these safety systems protect the technicians against a possible fall, while in rest position, they secure the gangway.
In intensive cooperation with the client we gradually arrived at this concept, which can be implemented in any of his working locations. This saves a lot on engineering, and the client knows exactly what to expect.
On the picture added to this article u are able to see the result of the first partial delivered who is already used at this moment. Before the end of this year there will be delivered in total 30 identical pieces, with the possibility to expand in the future.
