UWT GmbH now offers its paddle switches and vibration forks according to the guidelines of EHEDG EHEDG (European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group) is a consortium of equipment manufacturers, food industries, research institutes and public health authorities. Its goal is the promotion of safe food by improving hygienic engineering and design in all aspects of food manufacture. UWT paddle switches of series Rotonivo® and vibration forks of series Vibranivo® are now offered with EHEDG approval. The technicians of UWT GmbH developed the units in a way that prevents all kind of dead spaces or bends. Moreover, product contact surfaces are suitable, non-toxic and easily cleanable. The advantages for hygienic processes are: • Minimised time for cleaning, maintenance in production plants and stoppage in production • Cost reduction due to usage of less detergents and disinfectants • Reduction of environmental load because of less detergents and disinfectants in wastewater • Cost reduction through avoidance of usual destruction of contaminated production

LUM opens an application laboratory in Paris in collaboration with ACIL Berlin, 15 June 2011: In collaboration with the French company ACIL Sarl, LUM GmbH, Germany, opens an application laboratory in Paris. With immediate effect all French customers and interested parties are kindly invited to get latest information about LUM instruments for direct and fast stability evaluation and particle characterization of dispersions on the location in Paris. The team of ACIL provides the French customers with competent support on all technical and commercial questions and performs application studies as well as customer tests in their own lab. Trade meeting at the easyFairs Schüttgut From May 18th to 19th, 2011, the branch met again at the easyFairs Schüttgut, the trade fair for the bulk solids technology, in the Westfalenhallen Dortmund. Infastaub took part again at the trade fair and the congress and presented the newest products and developments around bulk solids and dust removal. In the focus of the Infastaub fair appearance stood above all the personal consultations which gave an update of the trends in the dust removal technology and in particular the right design of silo filter to the professional audience. On account of the high-carat audience and the extremely pleasant acceptance, Infastaub will be also participating at the next Schüttgut fair again and will present the newest developments and solutions for an efficient and safe dust removal. The next Schüttgut takes place from November 7th to 08th, 2012 in Dortmund.

With a `first pile` driving ceremony construction works for a new facility were started. After completion of the building, in November 2011, TrustLube will move its operations from Willemstad to the new location, which is situated on the Business Park Borchwerf II, along motorway A17. The new TrustLube building will combine efficient offices and presentation rooms, a spacious production hall, state-of-the-art assembly and testing facilities and a large warehouse. Congress program of ACHEMA reflects diversity of process technology and biotechnology Contributions to the congress program of ACHEMA 2012 can be submitted as of now. The topics reflect the exhibition portfolio of ACHEMA. The EHEDG approval and the new RN4 attracted the qualified visitors to the UWT booth. This year easyFairs SCHÜTTGUT, the leading trade show for solids, took place from 18th until 19th May 2011 in the Westphalia Hall Dortmund. 282 exhibitors presented the latest in the bulk solids sector. In Central Europe the easyFairs SCHÜTTGUT is one of the most important trade shows in this area. The UWT team inspired many existing and new customers with exciting new products and developments on the newly designed booth. Special attention was paid to the electromechanical unit Nivobob4000, but also our world first universal voltage, the EHEDG approval and the new RN4 attracted the qualified visitors to the UWT booth. The construction and the material of the Safemount II assembly has achieved the approval of the German TÜV. Actual the 50 & the 60 t model has been certified. The larger assemblies for 80 / 100 and 150 t are based on the same design and should follow immediately. The Safemount assembly is simply bolted between the silos legs and the foundation. Within the certified forces there are no rods or staybars required.

Portable big bag filling A bronze award was presented to European Machine Trading from the Netherlands for their portable big bag filling unit. The unit consists of a big bag filling machine in 3 containers of 10ft (3 meter) with a capacity of 60 ton per hour. The machine comes to the product that needs to be bagged, instead of that the product is moved to the machines. This gives big savings in transport and handling costs and less damage to the product. AllAboutFeed organised the Victam Innovation Award for the fourth time now. In total 22 innovations were presented to AllAboutFeed and Victam. This number is similar to the previous Victam exhibitions held in Europe.
