Jansen&Heuning have developed a series of spreading boxes for CIREX, to evenly spread ceramic powders on a wax model. The innovative installations contribute to optimizing the production process and improving the quality of the cast, steel and metal components. Steel and metal foundry CIREX bv manufactures complex components for global industry; from knife heads and pump parts to transport wheels and sensor housing. These are often high-tech components that must comply with class D3 tolerances, as laid down in the internationally recognized German standard VDG-P690. CIREX uses the ‘lost wax model’ method to produce the precision castings. Wax Tree One of the many process steps in the ‘lost wax model’ method is that a ‘wax tree’ -which consists of a series of wax molds-is coated with a ceramic layer, to eventually arrive at a cast result. The wax tree is imersed in a slurry, raised and then dusted with a ceramic powder (a type of sand), followed by a drying process. This is a cycle that repeats itself seven to nine times. Finally a refractory, ceramic mantle is formed

Jansen&Heuning recently delivered the screw conveyors for the gypsum silo project of Eurosilo (ESI) in Serbia. ESI has a silo solution that combines three logistic functions at the smalles possible footprint: dewatering, storage and load out. And all that fully automatically. The filling screws, screw frames, excavating and spreader screw and the eviscerating screw are manufactured by us on the basis of demanding productions specifications. Some screws have a special non stick coating. In addition, the construction is provided with a special paint system. In short, a high-quality product that fits perfectly with the competences of Jansen&Heuning.

HVC tries to give waste a new life. The waste that can not be processed further, is converted into electricity, heat or green gas. The installation in Purmerend makes compost of organic waste and food leftovers from the green container for fertilizing gardens. Jansen&Heuning has modified the existing installation at HVC Purmerend, whereby an extra screening installation has been built in. This will improve the quality of the compost. The adjustment to the installation consists of screw conveyors JHS500, conveyor belts and platforms. Since the existing installation had to be adjusted, our engineering measured the entire process and worked it out in 3D in order to achieve an optimal connection with the existing installation. “The reason for this investment was to improve the quality of the compost. JHBB300 loading bellow for Alpuro Breeding Jansen&Heuning has deliverd a loading bellow to Alpuro in Uddel, the Netherlands. Alpuro Breeding provides the livestock former everything he/she needs for a successful calf breeding. Alpuro was looking for a loading bellow for both the discharge in open trucks and bulk trucks. Reason for the replacement of the existing bellows was the dust that the installation produced. The biggest challenge was the installation dimensions; the loading bellow should not be more than 850 mm high in retracted position, while the stroke of the loading bellow should be at least 2.100 mm. Furthermore, the loading bellow is equipped with a capacitive sensor that automatically follow the product level. The customer is very satisfied with our product and the technically very compact solution.

For our client CWT Commodities (Amsterdam) BV we place new lines of supply for cocoa beans at Dutch Cacoa in Amsterdam. The project consists of 21 silos and 42 chains. The silos have a capacity of 56 m³ each and are places in two rows, one of 11 and one of 10. - capacity: 100 m³ / hour / 50 tons per hour - operating hours: app. 30.000 per year - product: cacoa - practical bulk density: 550 kg / m³

Despite the heat, our technicians Harald Ozinga and Gerke Mulder have installed the JHE528 Elevator at ICL in Heerlen. The elevator has a capacity of 60 m³/hour and transports fertilizers.

A handful among the projects / deliveries of the past few weeks

Jansen&Heuning has installed a 16 meter high silo in Hoogezand (NL) within 8 hours. This was possible, because the silo was completely designed in 3D and prefabricated with laser-cut parts. But also because the silo was aligned and installed with a top team of three mechanics and professionals of Mammoet. As such, the total construction could continue undisturbed. The silo with a capacity of 180 tons is part of a new kiln system. Our client NEG Glass Fiber will start to use the silo soon to increase the producten of high-quality glass fibers.

Tate & Lyle bought a series of chain conveyors from Jansen&Heuning in 2003 for filling their soaking tubs with corn. In continuous operation the chain conveyors have transported thousands of tons of corn, which caused some wear after 15 years. Replacement by stainless steel was possible, but had to be performed in just 2,5 days due to the great pressure on production. The four Jansen&Heuning mechanics managed to do this within the set time by working hard, using their experience and of course an optimal preparation.

The first parts of the conveyor belts designed and produced by Jansen&Heuning are transported to the Eemshaven with Convoi Exeptionnel. There they are used for the sustainable use of the power plant of RWE. Herewith up to 20% biomass (wood chips) can be added as sustainable fuel for the 2 power generators, each with a power of more than 700 MegaWatt. These belts are in total 300 meters long and have a capacity of 1600 m³ per hour. We are proud that we, as a company from Groningen, can make an important contribution to this energy transition!

Mechtler GmbH Landesproduktenhandel is based in Austria and has recently purchased a roller sorter. They wanted one extra and ended up at Jansen&Heuning via the internet. ”I asked for a quotation via the website and had nice contact with Jansen&Heuning since then. The collaboration worked well.” The company concentrates on the production and trade of agricultural products such as grain, seeds, fertilizer and potatoes. A potato roller sorter is indispensable in their processes. Werner Rannert: ”The sorter works well. Once the machine is properly set up, it is very easy to operate”.

Close to Rihyad (Saudi Arabia) a feed mill is being built that will feed 70.000 cows every day. Jansen&Heuning supplied all elevators, chain conveyors, screw conveyors and paddle mixers. For Jansen&Heuning this is the largest project outside the European Union so far. The factory will be put into operation at the end of this year. In principle, a machine factory can produce everything if the material is made of steel or plastic. However, an all-round machine factory is almost a rarity. Many machine factories have their own specialization, focus or trademark. Jansen&Heuning as well. We produce bulk conveyors and special equipment such as mixers, but what really characterizes our company is smartly combining our own ánd imported machines. In this manner, we created a custom made compact unit for De Heus Voeders B.V. for the optimal production of cleaned and crushed grain. The installation consists of a windsifter, a double-deck sieve and a crusher. Jansen&Heuning has gained a lot of knowledge and experience over the years in the storage and handling of grain. These JHMX10000 mixers can each mix 45 tons per hour, and have each a net capacity of 10.000 dm³. The power is 110 kW.

Jansen&Heuning supplies a fully automated feed installation Jansen&Heuning supplies a fully automated feed installation for a dairy farm in Saudi Arabia. Two newly developed concentrates mixers, each with a drive of 110 kW, are the heart of this installation. For the 70.000 cows on the farm, each mixer mixes 10 m³ (4,5 ton) of feed every six minutes. Thirteen different nutrients and minerals are carefully weighed before they enter the mixer. And because cows also have a good taste, a bit of palm oil is added. We hope they enjoy it in the desert

fully automac filling of FIBCs A movie about our new FIBC shows the latest invention in the world of FIBC handling. The construction of this new FIBC allows fully automatic take up from a pile and filling them by a spout. Jansen & Heuning won the Process Innovation Award 2010 at the Dutch exhibition at Utrecht in October 2010.

Traditionally, the province Groningen has always been an area of grain cultivation. The cooperation Agrifirm receives, stores, dries and cleans the grain for her members. This happens in different establishments among which is Delfzijl. Over the years the capacity of the drier became insufficient. We supplied two new driers with strainers with a capacity of 25 tons/hour, a couple of chain conveyors and readjusted the existing installation. Long before the harvesting of the grain everything was installed and fully functional. Although the nice summer made sure the new equipment hasn’t seen a lot of action yet.

We believe that innovation is the key to surviving any crisis. That is why we keep investing in new equipment. Such as our new CNC plasma cutting machine, that can handle plates up to 30 mm thickness and a pressbrake, which supplies a pressure of 1.800 kN.

At Hengelo the production of salt is steadily growing. Jansen & Heuning received the order for the renovation of a number of big belt conveyors, including the gantry`s. The production will only be available for the erection for no more than 6 days. These type of orders give Jansen & Heuning the chance to show their experience and professional way of detailed hourly planning.

Glue producer Paramelt rationalized her production using only one big mixer instead of 4. Jansen & Heuning designed, produced and installed the complete project, including bagging units for valve bags and FIBC`s. Usable existing machines were put back in operation in the new situation.
