Testing of pet food and salmon feed was done to argue why a gravimetric feeding system is preferable when working with mixed meal types. Investigation density and flow properties Variations in both density and flow property often occur in mixed meal types used for the animal, aqua and pet food productions, density variations above 15 % are not unusual – these variations possibly occur due to variations in the recipe and since meal can compact in bins. The construction of our new assembly hall at our headquarters in Gleisdorf has been successfully completed. On 5000 square meters the bagging and palletizing systems are now assembled and tested for our customers. Any metal contamination present in the powder reduces the quality of the material mix and leads to a battery’s short life. The automatic cleaning rotating magnetic separator filters metal particles as small as 30 µm from the poorly flowing lithium powder. Lithium is extracted from salt lakes such as the Salar de Atacama in Chile, where there are huge reserves of brine containing lithium. Some large producers process this lithium into a powder that serves as a raw material for batteries used in electric cars, laptops and mobile phones, among other things.
