Hydraulic vibrating units for emptying wagon containers
The vibrating unit NHW shakes the containers of wagons during the unloading process resulting in faster, residue-free emptying and thus a larger loading volume afterwards. Ready for the next operation: After successful and scheduled maintenance, 2 hydraulic vibrating units of the NHW just left the workshop of NetterVibration and go back to the customer. A German logistics company uses a total of 3 NHWs to completely empty and clean container rail wagons. How? The NHWs are mounted on a front loader and moved easily to the wagons. Instead of labour-intensive knocking by hand, the vibrating unit NHW shakes the containers during the unloading process. The result: faster, residue-free emptying and thus a larger loading volume afterwards.

Poeth Z-belt Conveyor very suitable for sensitive products
Driessen Food Extrusion is very satisfied with the Poeth Z-belt Conveyor, used for sensitive, abrasive products in the new Food Extrusion filling line. Driessen Food Extrusion is very satisfied with the result of the new Food Extrusion filling line. Extrudates are sensitive, abrasive products that, for example, serve as the basis for the crispy exterior of oven croquettes. Gravimetric feeders feed the raw material for the crispy end product to an extruder. The extrudate is dried and then broken up, after which the fragile, abrasive product is packed into large bags via a vibrating screen. Poeth Solids Processing designed and installed a custom big bag unload station and Easy Clean Z-belt to then move the product from the big bags to a packaging machine. In view of the limited height of the building (to just below the roof), assembly was a critical point. Big bag unloading system The hygienically designed big bag unloading system offers space for two bulk bags that can be emptied alternately. Both unloading positions are equipped with a vibrating base and a pneumatic docking system. This makes it possible to connect

Mononivo® from UWT for process optimisation for hydropower plants
Solutions in the dam - Compact limit switch for process optimisation for hydropower plants as a backwater detector for wood chip conveyance. One of the largest energy supply companies in the UK was looking for modern equipment for its northern dam with flexible metering technology. The electricity and natural gas supplier for local households and businesses has been focusing on hydropower generation for several years, in addition to wind power. The centrepiece of the dam’s hydropower plant is the installed wood chip system, which was recently implemented to curb pollution in the dam. Accumulated wood chips are transported to a designated storage area via a series of chain conveyors. These chain conveyors need to be monitored with modern and robust measurement technology. Namely, an indicator that functions as a full detector is required in the transfer chutes in order to detect a blockage with the wood chips in good time. Together with the subsidiary UWT (UK) Ltd in Shrewsbury, a safe solution was found after several tests with oscillating probes that work according to the vibration principle. The Mononivo®

Automation with intelligent hose couplings Assurance of an economic product manufacturing with high quality.
Automation with intelligent hose couplings
Assurance of an economic product manufacturing with high quality. An end-to-end automation is the precondition for an economic product manufacturing with high and reliable quality. In this process the detection of the actual situation at the coupling points of the process pipe is a frequent weakness. In order to close this gap reliably, MOLLET Füllstandtechnik offers different intelligent hose coupling systems based on Storz, modified Camlock and road tanker couplings. For the use in potentially gas or dust explosive atmospheres there are suitable coupling-systems with limit switch available. For the signal delivery at the coupling points of silo or tank filling pipes as well as on coupling stations the MOLOSswitch coupling systems with limit switch or with RFID-technology are used. When the hose is connected, the limit switch will be actuated and an I/O signal will be transmitted. The provided blank cap does not activate the limit switch. Where MOLOScode reading devices with RFID-technology are used, the connected hose with a

Dense phase conveying at Dinnissen
Dense phase conveying shows less product damage and lower air/gas consumption levels. It can be realized with both negative and positive pressure. Greater precision and maximum hygiene When conveying bulk goods, there`s an ever increasing need for ‘greater precision’ and ‘maximum hygiene’. One of the most common techniques used to transport bulk goods pneumatically is using air or gas by means of either negative or positive pressure: known as dense phase conveying. Less product damage and lower air/gas consumption levels With dense phase conveying you transport a large quantity of product with relatively little air. This is done at lower speeds than with conventional conveying methods. The biggest advantage of dense phase conveying? Less product damage. There is also an energy advantage; you can bridge longer distances at lower air and gas consumption levels. Customization Every project is different and always requires customization. A basic pneumatic transport system is usually a good solution, but we always try to see if and how it can be done even smarter. Dinnissen process technology -

New sensor for flow monitoring in thin pipelines ENVEA presents the FlowJam T, the new sensor for powder flow monitoring in flexible pipelines.
New sensor for flow monitoring in thin pipelines
ENVEA presents the FlowJam T, the new sensor for powder flow monitoring in flexible pipelines. Due to its small size, the FlowJam T can be easily mounted around thin hose lines. It can be used for all pipelines made of electrically non-conductive material, such as plastic or rubber, with outside diameters between 4 and 25 mm. The FlowJam T detects all types of solid streams that move through the detection area. Detection is achieved, regardless of the direction of movement, by the triboelectric discharges of the particles. The material movement in non-metalic pipelines is displayed as a trend at the analogue output and as a switching state at the relay. Via the trend output, whether more or less material is conveyed through the tube, for example, can be displayed. The material flow can also be observed for uniform distribution. In addition, the relay contact output provides additional Flow/No Flow information. The FlowJam T is a compact device and is connected via an 8-pin plug. For parameterisation of the sensor, a Modbus-USB converter and software can be provided.

Sustainable recovery of Carbon Black
Hosokawa has developed a process for the sustainable recovery of Carbon Black from used car tyres, resulting in dust-free, free-flowing rCB granules. The Hosokawa Group has developed a process for the sustainable recovery of Carbon Black from used car tyres. By performing a number of steps after pyrolysis, the process results in dust-free granular material that can be dosed accurately. It is ready for immediate use in the manufacture of new car tyres or other rubber-based products. Many recycling companies that handle car tyres are keen to find a way to recover Carbon Black from the rubber. This ’black gold’ must undergo several processing steps after pyrolysis before it can be used as recovered Carbon Black (rCB). "We’ve developed an efficient and sustainable process for that," says Marc Jacobs, Team Manager Chemicals, Minerals & Metals (CMM) at Hosokawa Micron in Doetinchem, the Netherlands. "Our new processing line makes it easy for recycling companies to recover top-quality Carbon Black from car tyres. Manufacturers of car tyres and other rubber-based products can then immediately use the resulting granules
