Mass flow meter IPW S

Small and compact: IPW S mass flow meter

The well-known impact scales of ImpactWeigh series has been expanded to include the compact IPW S for small flow rates from 1 to 6 m³/h.
The IPW S is particularly suitable for continuous quantity measurement of powdery and fine-grained bulk materials, even with low bulk weights, such as seeds and grains, as well as granulates and powders. The product flow rate is recorded and evaluated gravimetrically during the throughput.

The mass flow meter from MTS has a separate product and measuring chamber as well as two inspection doors. The robust mechanics and dust-proof housing of the IPW S guarantee high reliability and low maintenance cycles.

The IPW S is used for numerous tasks where exact quantity measurement is required within a closed conveying system: for determining in-process material flows, for inventory control or also for use in fast control processes.

Advantages of the mass flow meter IPW S:

  • Durability: Design and robust construction of the IPW S ensure a long durability of the scale (no moving parts).
  • Protection for impact plate/ measuring chute: Special coatings (special plastic, ceramic, etc.) increase the wear protection of the impact plate/ measuring chute or its sliding ability.
  • Quick and easy installation: A height dimension of the scale housing of only 415 mm allows quick installation even in existing and confined conveying paths.
  • Safety: Separation of the product area and measuring chamber provides special protection for the weighing mechanism and also allows the use in dust Ex zones.
  • Low maintenance requirements
  • Robust housing: Painted mild steel or stainless steel
  • Good measuring accuracy, especially in combination with the control unit ModWeigh PPW

When it’s too little for the belt scale
MTS developed the CDW, the conveyor discharge weigher, for low and medium flow rates from 200 to 5,000 kg/h. Weighing is very accurate because it is static. The recovery and recycling of valuable materials into raw materials is becoming increasingly important in order to conserve resources and reduce the final disposal of waste. Special weighing solutions are required in such applications in order to precisely record the individual recyclable materials with low flow rates. Recyclable materials from waste should not only be separated by type, but also precisely recorded in terms of quantity. Belt conveyors are usually used to transport the waste. The use of a built-in belt scale for weighing the recovered recyclable materials during transport on the belts is an obvious solution - but often fails as a solution, especially in the area of slag processing and separation, due to the low flow rates. The MAV Group operates plants at several locations in Germany for the processing of waste incineration grate ashes, which also contain valuable metals. These valuable materials are separated in several process stages and returned

New member in the belt scale family EBW 20-MID3
New member in the belt scale family
EBW 20-MID3 The new built-in belt scale EBW 20-MID3 is a further development of the known legal-for-trade belt scale EBW 20-MID. The design of the belt scale has been revised constructively: The robust weighing platform is supported by three high precision load cells. This type of force introduction ensures the reliability and stability of the measurement and allows a very precise and exact height adjustment of the measuring frame. The EBW 20-MID3 is suitable for weighing of very light and voluminous bulk materials such as wood wool or PET recycling materials. Another advantage: A static test provides the possibility to calibrate the belt scale with check weights. The two idler belt scale is for belt widths from 800 to 1,200 mm and can be easily retrofitted in belt conveyors. The load cells are secured by a transport and overload protection. In combination with the control unit WC 9604, the belt scale has a MID approval according to OIML R50 class 0.5/ 1 and 2.
