BM24R Load cell with NEW OIML Approval We are pleased to announce the arrival of our newly approved (C3,C4,C5) BM24R load cell. Eurovia group optimises road construction logistics processes Axians is providing Eurovia, the leading European road construction group, with its Dispatch Automation System VAS. With a customised template, the asphalt specialist is optimising its logistics processes holistically, including company-specific procedures and seamless connection to its SAP system. In order to satisfy the requirements of the asphalt sector, Axians further developed their dispatch automation system with the know how of parent group VINCI Energies. All Eurovia processes concerning the flow of money and goods are deposited in a universal template that applies globally to all factories. Country- and sector-specifics can be quickly introduced and activated, thus securing the transboundary standardisation of the goods movement processes. Eurovia has already put VAS into operation at their site in Hoerdt, Alsace, and will roll out the solution in around 400 Eurovia factories in France by 2019, with support from Axians IAS (Industrial Application & Services).

The BlockTop™ closure system is already being utilised in a host of packing rooms around the world where is helping to produce uniform square shaped bags; that are hygienically closed; yet easy to open. BlockTop™ also helps to optimise bag sizes and provide bag cost purchasing saving opportunities. Used in conjunction with Chronos BTH Bottom-up filling systems, BlockTop™ provides total bag control throughout the closing process. Once filled the bag top is pre-cut, creased, double folded and hot melt glue is applied between the folds. The bag top is then pressed to spread the glue. Each closed bag top is folded over and further glue applied. The folded bag top is pressed onto the filled bag to form a square shaped bag. BlockTop™ sealed bags are easy to open, by simply pulling across the top of the bag, which in then unrolled.

New valve controls for air purification plants Buschjost has brought onto the market a completely new production series for controlling filter valves in dedusting technology. Saving time through simple operation, less training required on introduction, safety thanks to reliable parts and attractive prices are features of this production series. The new production series includes both micro-controllers, with which up to eight filter valves are controlled, and larger valve controllers, with which up to 16 magnetic valves can be controlled by differential pressure or time on a master device. Using expansion devices control of up to 64 valves is possible. In this way, this production series can both equip small plant and implement demanding valve control tasks. A significant advantage for the customer is the simple and intuitive operation of the device. After only 10 months of construction, the commissioning phase started in June 2011 In Scandinavia, Glatt Ingenieurtechnik GmbH completed a fluid bed plant for continuous additive coating with a capacity of several tons of additives per hour. The customer is a worldwide operating producer for a wide range of different products. These additives are used in various industries like feed, food and fine chemicals. Glatt"s technology center in Weimar provides facilities for testing different particle coating processes and technologies. In close co-operation between the customer and Glatt, numerous tests have been carried out on a laboratory system with a capacity of 1 to 2 kg to assess the feasibility of, and then to optimize, the coating process based on fluid bed technology. The next step was the determination of the optimal process parameters for different product formulations in a continuously running pilot system. The 4th Innovation-Award during the POWTECH 2011 for innovative products For the 4th consecutive time, the media brands PROCESS, PharmaTEC and Schüttgut presented the Innovation-Award during the POWTECH/TechnoPharm 2011 in October. This price recognizes manufacturers for trend-setting new products. Every one and a half year this competition is held during the trade fair of the bulk industry and the publishing company Vogel. A panel of experts selects from the submitted nominations initially three short-list candidates and then a winner. Sought-after were the most innovative instruments and procedures from various categories for example basic procedures for powder and bulk solids or apparatus manufacture and process techniques.
