Sales and Marketing under new management A change of personnel has occurred in the Masterflex AG sales management. On 1 October 2011, Christian Horstkötter assumed the position of Sales Manager and thus succeeds Alfons Beitz. Horstkötter has many years of managerial experience in the marketing and sales of technical products in medium-sized enterprises. Alfons Beitz will change within the company to the Business Development division. The focus of future assignments will be on the strategic advancement of the company as well as the development of new markets and applications.

UWT Germany and UWT China organize a seminar event in Asia for technicians, service and sales staff UWT’s managing partner Uwe Niekrawietz traveled together with the product manager Johannes Blochum to Shanghai/China in the mid of September, to carry out a seminar event together with UWT China. Technicians, service and sales staff who should have a technical background of the UWT products were invited. This event met with great interest and so significantly more participants than expected signed up for the seminar. The two-day training took place in a nice hotel in Shanghai with a total of 50 participants from 18 different distributors. On the first day the event began with the welcome speech of the Managing Director of UWT China, Teoh Seng Guan. Then UWT’s managing partner, Uwe Niekrawietz, presented the UWT group and went into details on the individual companies. The Extractor inline magnet was developed for plastics industry applications to protect extruders, injection and blow moulding machines. In previous versions the three neodymium magnetic rods were of 6000 Gauss strength at the effective surface, the external side of the stainless steel casings, where material contact takes place.
