L.U.M. GmbH certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000
Renewed certification part of constant quality policy Berlin, 30.4.2008: L.U.M. GmbH, market leader in innovative instruments to analyse dispersions, is now certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 (issued december 2000) for the application areas development, production and marketing of measuring instruments (technical optics) for material characterisation by DQS GmbH Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Zertifizierung von Managementsystemen. Prof. Lerche, Managing Director of L.U.M. GmbH: „Quality has top priority at LUM since the foundation of the company in 1994. Already since the first certification in 1996 LUM has been working according to ISO 9001. The present renewed certification continues this business policy and meets the requirements of the ongoing company development. Last-but-not-least in the field of analytical measuring equipment it is not only our wish but quasi a necessity to work according to a quality management system. On the one hand to meet the requirement of the customers, on the other it enables LUM

Netter LineDrive
Netter LineDrive
The NetterVibration product programme will be extended by a further conveyor system this year. Traditional vibration conveyor systems work on the throwing principle, in which the product is slightly lifted and “thrown” forward, following a trajectory parabola. With the LineDrive conveyor principle, the material slides along the conveyor trough. This is made possible by a pneumatic linear drive. The LineDrive conveyor system is suitable for gentle, horizontal conveying of bulk material. The flat design (height of drive 6.5 cm) allows applications even with confined space constraints. The conveyor output can be adjusted to suit the specific characteristics of the material to be conveyed by regulating the compressed air. Visit NetterVibration at Easyfairs in Duisburg, in order to experience this new concept conveyor system.

2- and 3way flex tube diverter Vortex Valves Flex tube diverter
2- and 3way flex tube diverter
Vortex Valves Flex tube diverter The patented Vortex® Flex Tube DiverterTM is specifically engineered to handle dry bulk solids in vacuum or dilute phase pneumatic conveying systems with pressures up to 15 PSIG (1 bar). The unique design eliminates material cross contamination by a positive seal across the closed port and the elimination of internal ledges and pockets where material can lodge and remain trapped. The 3-Way Flex Tube DiverterTM is designed with seal plates that are shielded from blast abrasion allowing the diverter to positively seal air and material over its service life. Ordinary flapper-style diverter valves rely on soft elastomer seals, which are exposed to blast abrasion causing them to erode and tear away during service. Rotating tunnel style diverters typically have seals that are exposed to excessive wear upon actuation making them prone to seizing and binding due to material build-up between the housing. The Vortex® 3-Way Flex Tube DiverterTM has net-running “live

BTH unwraps its new Logo at Interpack 2008
BTH unwraps its new Logo at Interpack 2008
On the 24th April, BTH will present its new company logo at the Interpack Trade Fair. In addition to the new logo, BTH’s matching new visual identity will also be presented, with the new corporate design and brochure line. Director Frans Maas: “This new visual identity is the pinnacle of BTH’s 12½-year anniversary. The company has developed into a solid enterprise over the past years. We are also underlining our ambition for the future with this step. Together with the consolidation of relationships with our current customers, we will be strongly oriented towards the development of new markets in the coming years.” Reason: consistent growth Due to its continually growing international network, BTH increasingly needs to present a clear and uniform image to the outside world. This was the reason for taking a closer look at the logo and the corporate image. A clear image had to be created that would also express BTH’s message at the international level.

Reliable, Efficient, Quiet CB 110 C and CB 130 C `Compact` series rotary blowers
Reliable, Efficient, Quiet
CB 110 C and CB 130 C `Compact` series rotary blowers “Compact” series rotary blowers are equipped with flow-optimised “Omega profile” rotors and deliver pressures up to 1000 mbar (g), or 500 mbar (vacuum). The CB 110 C model has a maximum pressure of 800 mbar (g), whilst the CB 130 C can reach 1000 mbar (g) - they provide flow rates of 9.5 and 12.3 m³/min respectively. Both provide a maximum vacuum of 500 mbar (a) and, according to model, have volume flow rates of 9.6 and 12.4 m³/min. Meticulous design and logical component layout make maintenance work simple, as these space-saving units are accessed from the front and all pipe connections as well as ventilation openings are located at the rear. This not only significantly reduces maintenance costs, but also means that they can be placed right next to each other to save even more space. Both models are fitted with an energy-saving ‘EU-eff1’ rated motor* (18.5 or 30 kW max. rated power) as standard and feature “Omega Profile” rotors and a specially

Manual Clean Drawer Magnets Model Pictured ND288
Manual Clean Drawer Magnets
Model Pictured ND288 Engineered to remove medium and fine ferrous contaminants from dry, free flowing products under gravity flow. Puritan’s Drawer Magnets protect processing machinery and improve product purity. Multiple staggered rows provide maximum contact area for product flow. As product flows through the stainless steel housing, it cascades over the staggered rows of magnetic tubes. Ferrous contaminants are pulled to the surface of the magnets where they move to the underside of the tube to prevent washoff. Also available in EZ CLEAN and POW-R CLEAN.

Radiometric bulk flow meter - non-contacting and low-maintenance
Radiometric bulk flow meter
- non-contacting and low-maintenance The conventional methods for bulk flow measurement come up against limiting factors when it comes to the bulk industry. A highly reliable alternative is provided by Berthold Technologies with their radiometric belt weigher LB 442. Besides measurements of throughput and conveyor capability, the system is also able to determine the dry weight of the conveyed material by integrating an additional microwave moisture measurement. The non-contacting and non-intrusive measurement technology is perfectly suited for applications in the bulk industry. Neither dust, temperature nor chemical or physical properties of the material can affect the measuring performance. The robust construction of the belt weigher with no moving parts benefits a low maintenance operation. The measuring system can be installed on various conveying systems such as screw conveyors, troughed chain conveyors and steel plate conveyors, even applications on free-falling chutes have been field tested successfully.
