The New Vibratory Disc Mill RS 200 For the rapid size reduction to analytical fineness of hard, brittle and tough materials, the new Retsch Vibratory Disc Mill RS 200 is the product of choice. The new model grinds samples such as minerals, cement, concrete, soils and also electronic scrap not only extremely fast but also with excellent reproducibility. The new features include: · Optimized drive kinematics: the main directional movement of the drive train is secured in a plane which prevents the jar from gyrating or tumbling. This leads not only to increased reproducibility but also to an extremely quick formation of the movement pattern inside the jar and thus to very short grinding times. · New operating concept: All grinding parameters can be set via one single button, the current settings can be read off a graphics display. Sartorius LMA300P The LMA300P presented by the laboratory equipment provider Sartorius is a new moisture analyzer that operates based on microwave resonance technology. This procedure offers users two advantages to start off with in measuring the moisture of pourable and granulated products. For one, it enables exceptionally fast measurement in less than one second. For another, this technology is non-destructive; i.e., the sample is retained in its original condition and can be used for other subsequent tests. Moreover, because preparation of a sample is not required in most cases, the LMA300P is among the fastest moisture analyzers on the market. J-TEC has designed a new Big Bag® discharge clamp that meets the strictest hygienic standards. The system is user-friendly, can be implemented in all hygienic zones and is easy to clean. It has no sharp corners, no external screw thread, and is entirely composed of smooth surfaces. All the hinges and sliding parts have bearings that are made out of high performance polymers. They are grease- and oilfree and hermetically sealed (protected against waterjet). This discharge system can be polished according to the customer’s wishes, and is available in SS304 and SS316. It can be implemented in a new installation, as well as in an existing installation.

Post-explosion fire-fighting becomes possible Explosion protection through the use of explosion vents is well accepted and used throughout todays industry. The pressure and flames resulting from an explosion can be effectively discharged, resulting in a predictable control of explosion effects. The designer/user is facing the secondary consequences of the explosion: post-explosion fire damages to the equipment being protected. The use/selection of traditional fire protection systems is often limited due to the inherent presence of large pressure relief openings in the equipment, allowing fesh air to be fed into the fire and reducing the available concentration of fire extinguishing media. Fike`s new reclosing explsoin vents, type CV-RC, offer the industry users the possibility to achieve effective post-explosion fire figthing with minimal damage and downtime for repair. Like all Fike explosion protection equipment the CV-RC explsoion panels are ATEX-certified.

Effective separation of ferrous and non-ferrous metals can be challenging, especially with small-sized materials. But Cogelme - the Italian manufacturer of waste recycling equipment, mainly ferrous and non-ferrous metals separators - believes that separation today is only a matter of selecting and applying the right separation technology. Cogelme has developed an eddy current separator that is capable of processing materials down to 2mm in size and achieve very high separation purity. Its cost-effectiveness and excellent non-ferrous metal extraction are not the only advantages, as users can additionally remove ferrous metals down to powder sizes, and segregate these in a separate container. Cogelme has recently been investigating whether costs can be reduced by optimising the power used in its magnetic separator.
