From MAJOR WIRE Industries Ltd and HAVER & BOECKER Self-cleaning screen media have become the ones to use especially for processing loose, bulk materials. With the FLEX-MAT from our partner company Major Wire, Haver & Boecker now offers a new screening media generation where the design significantly improves the self-cleaning effect. As opposed to the currently available products, the horizontally crimped warp wires are fixed not by weft wires in the FLEX-MAT screen media, but exclusively by recyclable PU connections. In doing so, each wire can individually vibrate throughout its entire length so that caked up material and jammed particles are more effectively prevented. In addition to the high flexibility of the wire, the smooth screen surface provides a considerably longer lifetime when compared to conventional screen sections. Clean: from very coarse to very fine: Self-cleaning screen media up to now have been available with opening sizes of 2 mm to 28 mm and are traditionally suited only for difficult to screen

HAVER Industrial Wire Screens When screening loose, bulk materials, and especially when handling abrasives products such as stone, gravel or crushed stone, screen decks are subjected to extreme loads. This leads to more frequent replacement of the wire mesh, which in turn results in undesirable downtime. An alternative is using polyurethane screen decks. Although they have longer lifetimes, they also have less open screen area and so there’s a loss of screening capacity. To compensate for this an additional screening machine often has to be put into operation. One solution offers all the advantages: TY-WIRE Hybrid screening decks combine all the advantages of wire and polyurethane screening decks because TY-WIRE consists of wire mesh that is encapsulated in polyurethane using a special process. The result is a screening deck with a significantly greater open area when compared to conventional PU screening decks. At the same time, they have a lifetime that is 4 to 6 times longer than wire screen

Haver & Boecker stocks a wide range of standard wire mesh as to ISO 14 315 and ISO 9044, which therefore allows customers to find the right mesh for the job at hand. Square mesh wire cloth. Whenever precise cut sizes for loose materials are required or whenever long particles need to be screened, it is essential to use rectangular opening mesh. For processing coarser loose materials, the type of weaving determines the screening behaviour. Wire mesh pre-crimped on both sides, e.g. DOKA weave and DOKA mesh, causes good rotation of the screened material because of its rough three-dimensional surface. The material has much greater chances of falling through the mesh openings and thus leading to successful screening. Moreover, the fine particles are brought to the screen surface more quickly, which accelerates the entire screening process. The faster the fine particles are screened out, the more screen area is left for screening

The APEX™ name is already synonymous with high accuracy & high efficiency screening. There is no removable top cover : all screens are accessed via drop down doors along either side. The screening area has been partitioned to accept 760mm x 1065mm modular panels which not only have the mesh bonded onto disposable frames but weigh only 2kg. The top & lower screen deck panels are interchangeable allowing for total interchangeability & minimisation of spare screens. To access the screen media each side of the machine has self locking hinged doors that are opened to expose the screen decks.
