10. July 2008 Less than three years after the first sod was turned for UWT’s four storey office block, there is more building news on the horizon. On 10 July, the next sod was turned to overcome the acute lack of space; this time for a combined production and office building with three levels. UWT’s agents, customers and not to forget the employees have advanced the success and growth of the company so that the current “new” office building was no longer sufficient for the requirements of the growing enterprise. The new ecologically compatible building will be constructed using local raw materials and will offer an effective floor space of 2,600 square metres over three storeys. Built according to the passive energy (ultra low energy) standards, it is expected that energy requirements will be far exceeded! Pellet heating and a ventilation system with a heat recovery ventilation system and a solar energy system will supply the necessary energy to be self sufficient. The

Dust free filling no longer a problem! Thanks to it’s special construction the VSF filling system developed by Vollenda enables a dust free bag filling which is very important especially in the pharmaceutical- and food industry. The fully automatic VSF by VOLLENDA is most suitable for the bagging of free flowing up to critical flowing products in open bags at a filling range from 5...up to 25 kg. Based on an new security -/ and design concept the filling process takes place in a completely closed double-compartment housing. To increase the reliability and to reduce the efforts for cleaning and maintenance to a minimum, the system components as drives, tubing etc. are mounted out of the process area in an intermediate compartment. Pre-prepared open bags are put in a stock in staples or in a slide-in stock. Then the bags are released automatically and placed and clamped on the dust free clamp BK-AS. REA-JET HR The REA-JET HR is a high-resolution printing system which uses the proven HP TIJ (Thermal Ink Jet) technology. The key characteristics of the REA-JET HR are a safe and intuitive operation, genuine IP 64-durability, a modular design, maintenance free operation and ease of installation. All these characteristics lead to a very high working reliability and guarantee the user a high level of plant availability unique in it´s class, thereby the system can be amortized in the shortest time. Analytical Sieve Shaker AS 300 control The AS 300 control is ideally suitable for the rapid and reliable sieve analysis of sample amounts up to 6 kilograms in one working run. As it is particularly designed for test sieves with a diameter of 305 mm (12’’), the average sieving times can be greatly reduced compared to sieve shakers which are laid out for smaller sieves. Repetitive operations can be greatly simplified with the possibility to store up to 9 parameter combinations. REA FL Laser With the REA FL Laser, REA Elektronik extends the product offer within the range of laser marking with a diode-pumped fiber laser marking system. This is available as 12W and 20W version. The pulsed laser system works with a wavelength of 1065nm and offers an alternative to maintenance-intensive and bulky Nd:YAG and Vanadate (Nd:YVO) systems. REA MLV-2D The REA MLV-2D is a measuring instrument which examines the print quality (ISO/IEC 15415) of 2D Data-Matrix Codes (ISO/IEC 16022). The Data-Matrix codes are used in the pharmaceutical industry, the automobile industry as well as in air- and space industries for automatic identification and individual part tracking. In particular for small packing or parts with small surface areas the Data-Matrix code is more practical than a linear barcode, in terms of storing more information in a small area. The checking possibilities can be supplemented by further criteria for the requirements in the field of image processing to get even better results then ISO/IEC 15415 demands.
