Resilient milling robot can carry out the dirty work in drainage pipes
Extremely small and also extremely tough Drainage repair is a challenge for underground engineering specialists. A common scene used to be that of stressed excavator operators, annoyed residents and impatient drivers. Today however, modern restructuring concepts leave torn up road surfaces a thing of the past. A resilient milling robot can carry out the dirty work in drainage pipes. Extremely small and also extremely tough, it eats through any obstacle in the drain networks. Now the digger can stay in its depot, as digging for days on end is no longer necessary. Defective drainage pipes are not replaced but restored. The milling robot used by Bodenbender GmbH located in Hessen for their PL-Inliner drain sanitation system is a type EU Robot 150 made by BRM GmbH in Biebergemünd. It is inserted through a manhole into the defective drain pipe. Now the preliminary work can begin for perfect repair. Debris is cleared, pipe sockets straightened, protruding supports bevelled and in-growing roots removed. The

NetzschVacuum De-Aerator
NetzschVacuum De-Aerator
The Netzsch De-Aerator is established as „the wonder machine“ for the de-aeration of liquid products. With this machine, it is possible to simply remove micronised gas and air pockets of liquids with different viscosities or of viscous masses and pastes. According to the VTR principle (Vacuum-Thin layer-Rotational procedure) different products with low viscosity to flowable masses are processed with minimum product loss. Depending on the machine size and viscosity of the products throughput rates of 50 – 4,000 kg per hour can be achieved. The Netzsch De-Aerator can be used to de-aerate both small quantities using changeable tanks in batch operation or for large processes in continuous operation. This compact machine does not require an additional feed or transfer pump – depending on the product viscosity – and can be arranged in series with filling machines to accommodate shorter production times directly from a mixer into barrels. Further advantages of the

Drive Solution for the Paper Industry
Drive Solution for the Paper Industry
Germany’s paper industry is the no. 1 in Europe and with a turnover of approximately 14.9 billion euro it makes the no. 4 spot worldwide behind the USA, China and Japan. A total of 3000 different kinds of paper are manufactured at around 180 production locations. 44,000 employees work to produce around 23.2 million tons of paper per year. The innovative paper manufacturing machinery ensures that the ravenous paper appetite of industrial nations is continuously satisfied. How did paper originate? The procedure has changed very little since 105 AD, the date when the process of paper manufacture was first recorded. Fibres are moistened in water and then scooped out with a sieve. This paper web is later pressed and dried. Today gigantic paper machines are used in the various processing steps to turn the pulp into paper. This is an enormous challenge for machine constructors as individual components have to be able to withstand extreme pressures. DEPRAG SCHULZ GmbH &

RHEWUM ScreenGuard for monitoring of vibrating machines
RHEWUM ScreenGuard for monitoring of vibrating machines
Screens and other vibrating machines are often integrated in production processes at a central point. Regarding this positioning any machine damage leads to production losses and therewith financial losses which is absolutely not acceptable. So the trouble-free operation of this machines is a must. At this point the RHEWUM ScreenGuard has it´s place! The RHEWUM ScreenGuard monitors the vibrating behaviour of vibrating machines continouusly in order to keep it from critical operation conditions. The acceleration is measured by sensors and compared with given values. The ScreenGuard shows the acceleration g, the speed in cm/s, the amplitude in mm and the frequency in Hz on a display. The system can be used as on-site-monitoring to just show the operation status. It can also be integrated in a superordinated system and then be used to give a signal at critical operation status and/or to stop the vibrating machine. The ScreenGuard has two independent channels,

BMA (Braunschweigische Maschinenbauanstalt AG) placed an order with RHEWUM for construction, manufacturing and delivery of 3 vibrating conveyors type RHEWUM RIU for the Nile Sugar Project. The sugar production named Nile Sugar Company located on the area of Nobaria will include a beet sugar refinery with a processing capacity of 8.000 t/d and a raw sugar refinery with a processing capacity of 1.200 t/d. The very special feature of this project are the dimensions of the throughs with two times 10.650 mm and once 9.000 resp. the overall length of the whole haulway of 30 m to be done by only three throughs. RHEWUM will realize these machines not in the conventional bar-driven way but driven by two out-of-balance motors. Doing it this way it is very important to achieve an extremely warp-resistant construction in order to get the needed consistent movement of the machine and to guarantee this even at changing loads during the discharge of the sugar centrifuges. Instead

Soymilk 7% more yield
Soymilk
7% more yield For the production of Soymilk Urschel has now designed a 2 in 1 milling system. The soaked or non-soaked beans are being pump fed to the machine with the required quantity of water. Through the impeller the beans are propelled along the tungsten carbide cutting blades producing very small particles. This is done at an impeller speed of 9,000 rpm creating a centrifugal force of over 14,000 g´s on the beans. The impeller blades are shaped in a way that by the enormous centrifugal force the first size reduction takes place; the blades in the microcut head make the final size reduction resulting in uniform particles with a nice peak in the particle size distribution. This peak means there are no big particles and make the extraction maximal. There are also no very small particles causing sedimentation after the decanter has seperated particles from liquid. The result is an increase in yield of upto 7% and no sediment. The capacity of the Comitrol Processor Model 9300 is

New ProFlex® C feed system for compound and masterbatch industry
Perfect feeding from 1 to 6,000 l/hr Recipes harmonised down to the last gram are a guarantee of quality in the compound and masterbatch industry. The ideal feeders must therefore be fully harmonised to the properties of the bulk materials and feed rates and need to be flexible in terms of spatial requirements as well. As previously announced, Schenck Process has extended the ProFlex® C feed system to include the 6000 Series for this very reason. The ProFlex® C feed system unveiled at POWTECH 2008 is used for volumetric and gravimetric feeding of additives and fillers in powder, granulate or fibre form, which are needed for the refinement of plastics. Depending on feed rate requirements, we would recommend using either the ProFlex® C500 or ProFlex® C6000 variants. Both basic models can be complemented with various feed hoppers, feed screws and spirals. Space-saving, flexible, quality-enhancing. Sample preparation in the Ceramics Sector Quality and process standards assurance
Sample preparation in the Ceramics Sector
Quality and process standards assurance Clays, chamottes and ceramics are used in various ways and must therefore be in accordance with different degrees of quality standards. These quality standards have especially in recent years gained in significance for the processing industry and therefore at the same time for the producers of such chamottes and ceramics. Based on the risen quality standards more and more often, the crude materials and also the finished products are more precisely analyzed. Considered are the classic chemical and physical variables, as well as the technological data of crude materials and finished parts like for example Geochemical and mineralogical composition, Thermal endurance, Heat conductance & coefficient of thermal expansion, Breaking resistance & flexural strength. Based on the very inhomogeneous composition of clays, which are mostly composed of various clay minerals, a sample preparation in a clay and ceramics laboratory for further analytical use via x-ray fluorescence,
