To avoid streamers and for abrassive products Pelletron to Unveil Revolutionary New and patented Pellbow™ Pelletron, the Lancaster, PA-based bulk material handling company, will showcase a unique and patented conveying pipeline elbow that is tradenamed the Pellbow™. It is especially designed to minimize damage caused when solid particles are injected into a high velocity conveying system — the higher the velocity, the more dust and streamers are formed in elbows. Design Principle: The Pelletron design creates a streamlined pocket shape by enlarging the bend at the incoming point in order to produce a soft layer of pellets just before they impact the angular target zone. The resulting soft layer of pellets will deflect incoming pellets toward the outlet, thus minimizing product degradation and air pressure resistance. Advantages of the new Pellbow design include: Elimination of streamers; reduction of dust; handling of abrasive products and the gentle changing of direction in the piping system.

Dust and streamer removal in one machine Pelletron Introduces Redesigned DeDuster With 30 000 kg/h Capacity Pelletron Corporation, the pioneer in DeDusting technology, has redesigned its Pelletron P-600 DeDuster, a dust and streamer contaminant removal system designed for large applications in plastics manufacturing and other chemical industries. The new P-600 has the capacity to dedust up to 30 000 kg of material per hour and complete the max size series of DeDusters. The new P-600 features a split design, which creates a low profile for easier retrofitting in limited headroom application facilities. The split design means the P-600 has four, larger air wash decks, two patented Venturi chambers, and two patented flux field generators. The dual Venturi chambers and larger air-wash decks provide more precise control of the airflow, allowing for a wider variation of flow rates, resulting in quicker, more efficient DeDusting. Design principle: In the split design of the P-600, dust and streamer contaminated

with Horn and Multi-tone Siren WERMA is to extend the successful product group 420 by the addition of signal combinations. An optical as well as an extremely loud audible signal can now be combined neatly using a diameter of only 90mm. The signals can be triggered variably i.e. both the light and the audible ele-ment can activated in whatever sequence necessary, or simultaneously. In addition to the proven base mounting bracket mounting is also available. The base will be in an attractive grey. The optical signal component is available as LED perma-nent light or as a flashing light. The audible component is available as a buzzer, a multi-tone siren or a horn. The buzzer has a continuous or pulse tone. The multi-tone siren is adjustable in eight tones, and the volume can be ad-justed continuously up to 100dB. The horn version is a high-tech product and has a life du-ration of up to 50,000 hours, 10 times higher than that of a conventional horn. The volume can be adjusted likewise.

The Austrian plant engineering and construction company AMMAG is specialised on spray granulation / coating and bulk material handling (conveying, silos, big bags, dosing and weighing). Own test plants in lab and pilot scale are used to test all process steps and to develop new products together with the customers. Toll manufacturing of these joint developments is possible, too. AMMAG has developed and constructed a novel laborscale spraygranulator A-WT 25. Air supply/-heating station and process-modul are designed in sparate units. Favorable design and a well elaborated plant concept, makes the A-WT 25 multi-purpose and in conformity with ATEX. The granulator can be operated in top - or bottom spray mode with different positions for the nozzels. An up-to-date control- and visualization system and changeable granulation-baskets for different batch-sizes give additional advantages to the user. Hammermill with hygienic design The hammermill MFH-6 from Frewitt allows crushing and milling of hard, crystalline or fibrous products in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry. The hygienic design of the housing prevents product accumulations and permits a fast and simple access for cleaning the processing area, The absolutely tight design of the dosing equipment with paddle wheel ensures a dust -free processing of the products. Depending on the product the rotor can be reversed easily on the hammer side (impact side) or on the knife side (cutting side). The rotor drive is ensured by a single bearing so that the product is heated to a minimum during the sizing process, and the large front door ensures a quick disassembly of the sieve and the rotor and permits simple access for cleaning the processing area. The hammermill further fulfils the guideline of ATEX 94/9/EC.

The winning product: WERMA Signal Tower deSIGN 42 WERMA has extended the successful signal tower program with the launch of the new LED signal tower in an attractive stainless steel de-sign. The signal towers deSIGN 42 are examples of state of the art technology. These compact LED signal towers enable two or three defined states to be displayed while using only on signal device. When no signal is active, the tower appears “cool“ with its clear, transparent domes. Upon activation of the signal colour appears to be breathed in to the tower. FlowSlide meter replaces weigh feeders and hopper scales The FlowSlide Meter offers a precise and maintenance free alternative to conventionell weigh feeders and hopper scales. The FlowSlide system measures in the process. The product is guided via a curved stainless steal slide. This is causing a centripetal force, which is absolute proportional to the mass flow. Compared to conventional flow meters based on the effect of impact, the FlowSlide is nearly independent from product density and grain size. A simple factory calibration provides an accuracy within 2%. With a comparison field calibration it is possible to achive +/- 0.2 %. The Flowslide system is suitable for all free flowing solids within a density range of 0.03 and 3.0 kg/l .
