The Swedish company PIAB has developed a new series of vacuum conveyors, the IC33, for handling of material in the manufacturing industry. This new series creates a whole range of new possibilities of material handling. The series consists of three versions and is based on a new patented pump technology.
Working environment friendly: the closed vacuum system does not only protect the material handled from external influences, but also the user from the material handled.
Saves Floorspace. The compact design of the conveyor makes it possible for the user to secure floor space that otherwise would have been occupied if using more space-demanding belt- or screw conveyors. As the material is conveyed in pipes or hoses, this solution is also more flexible, according to the manufacturer.
Many Fields of Application
With this new product series the company can offer competitive conveying of virtually all types of materials in the shape of flakes, pellets and powder. There are three versions of the conveyor that handles anything from 500 kg to 2,000 kg/h.
Stone powder and ceramic powder used when moulding clinker and tile, pigment for colouring of textiles or for making paints, material for cleaning of water and car tyre manufacturing are just a few examples of processes where powder materials must be conveyed to the manufacturing process, then during the process and finally from that process.
