Metering, weigh-batching, discharging and flow metering of bulk ingredients Available free of charge is a new interactive CD-ROM from Brabender Technologie KG, Duisburg, Germany, presenting the company`s total program for bulk ingredient feeding, weighing, discharging and flow metering in an easily understandable way with ample feasibilities of navigation. The medium is intended as a "digital working manual" and contains comprehensive information on gravimetric and volumetric metering feeders, discharge aids and flow meters for bulk ingredients together with individual descriptions, capacity tables, selection support, data sheets and installation examples. Online links allow direct contacting of the nearest sales, consulting and service base within the company`s world-wide network as well as online requests for additional information material. It will be clear that during loading of bulk products, using the loading spout, the traditional conical loading head will not be the optimum sealing device. Dust leakage can, depending of the loaded product, create an explosion risk. Bad sealing, of the conical loading head, is caused by: * Roundness of the loading head does not fit with the manhole. * The sealing surface is a line sealing * The elastomer on the cone is subject to aging and abrasion. * During loading the cone will be lifted by escaping air from the truck.
