It will be clear that during loading of bulk products, using the loading spout, the traditional conical loading head will not be the optimum sealing device.
Dust leakage can, depending of the loaded product, create an explosion risk.
Bad sealing, of the conical loading head, is caused by:
- Roundness of the loading head does not fit with the manhole.
- The sealing surface is a line sealing
- The elastomer on the cone is subject to aging and abrasion.
- During loading the cone will be lifted by escaping air from the truck.
To avoid dust contact and risk for dust explosion the simplest solution is replacing the loading cone by, an absolute hermetical sealing device.
The “Muhr GmbH “company has a patented solution which consist out of a cylindrical ring on which an inflatable bellow is connected, when the device is in the manhole the bellow will be inflated and forms itself to the manhole and creates an absolute hermetical sealing eliminating the emission point .
