Storsack and Rosenlew join forces Dorton becomes part of the Storsack Group
The Storsack Holding Group and Rosenlew FIBC Group have decided to join forces. This new alliance will combine the forces of both companies and synergies will allow improved services to the customers on a global basis. Both partners are a perfect match from their product portfolios, technical competences and geographical positioning.
The Storsack Group is vertically integrated from raw material to the finished products in cost-effective regions worldwide: fabrics, liners, belting, yarns are produced in Eastern Europe, Thailand, Vietnam, India and China as also in Brazil and Mexico. Rosenlew is a market leader on the specialised high-end market segment with conversion plants in Belgium, Finland, France, Portugal and USA.
With the acquisition of Dorton Packaging Ltd. of Thirsk, Yorkshire, UK, Storsack takes over one of the leading supplier of single-loop bags to the fertilizer, seed and fish food industry.
The Storsack Group has its designated R&D Company, Storsack Technology GmbH, which holds over 80 patents and has its own state approved testing centre in Germany. Recent developments include the laser bag made entirely without seams, the Smart Drum, a collapsable and reusable drum for liquids and the RFID (transponder) technology applied to the FIBC, incorporating a chip. Rosenlew has a wealth of experience in producing specialist PE products such as form fit liners, baffle bags (compack system) and the spin cube.
