Fagus-GreCon shows preventive fire protection at IFAT 2026
At IFAT Munich 2026 from May 4th to 7th, fire protection specialist Fagus-GreCon shows in Hall B6, Stand No. 135, how fire risks in the recycling process can be detected early and specifically reduced. Fires are among the central operational risks in recycling plants and substitute fuel production – in facilities, along the process chain, and in storage areas. Fagus-GreCon shows at IFAT how these risks can be reduced with a systematically planned protection concept along the entire recycling process chain. GreCon PROTECTOR RECYCLING is designed for the typical requirements of the industry – from delivery to shredding, conveying, and processing, all the way to storage and stockpile areas. In places where ignition sources arise directly in the process, preventive GreCon systems start early: they detect potential hazards in the material flow and initiate countermeasures before a fire develops. For applications such as stockpile monitoring, where classic spark extinguishing reaches its limits, complementary solutions are used – such as the GreCon SCOUT TI thermal camera in combination with suitable extinguishing technology. Novelty: GreCon PROTECTOR CUBE Suitable

VEGA at IFAT 2026
Stable measured values for a resilient water industry. From 4 to 8 May 2026, at IFAT in Munich, booth C1.239, VEGA will be showing state-of-the-art level and pressure instrumentation. Extreme weather events, increasing demands on drinking water quality and ever more complex wastewater processes are putting operators under increasing pressure. A sustainable and resilient water and wastewater infrastructure therefore needs one thing above all else: reliable measurement data, even under difficult conditions. From 4 to 8 May 2026, at IFAT in Munich, booth C1.239, VEGA will be showing how state-of-the-art level and pressure instrumentation helps to keep processes stable and efficient over the long term. Interactive demonstrations at the exhibition stand illustrate the capabilities of the sensors under realistic operating conditions. One focus is on wastewater treatment. Precise and stable measured values are indispensable in all process stages: from inflow via pumping stations to sedimentation and aeration to sludge dewatering and effluent control. Even in the presence of foam, vapours, buildup or changing media conditions, VEGA sensors deliver

Goudsmit Magnetics Leverages FEM to Optimize Bulk Solid Separation
Goudsmit Magnetics utilizes Finite-Element Modelling (FEM) to improve the design and performance of magnetic systems, reducing development costs and enhancing separation efficiency for the bulk solids industry. Advanced Simulation Enhances Magnetic Separator Design Goudsmit Magnetics utilizes Finite-Element Modelling (FEM) to analyze and optimize its magnetic systems. This numerical method divides complex physical systems into small elements to solve fundamental physics equations, allowing for highly accurate performance predictions. By simulating systems digitally, the company significantly reduces the time and costs associated with physical prototype design and testing. Multiphysics Integration for Improved Process Flow A critical advantage of the FEM approach is the ability to combine different physical domains, specifically electromagnetics and fluid dynamics. For the bulk solids and food industries, this means evaluating how product flow characteristics, such as velocity and viscosity, impact the efficiency of magnetic separators. This integrated modelling ensures that separators are designed not just for magnetic strength, but for practical effectiveness within a
