Grieshaber Group opens Allgeirhof Training Center. After extensive renovation, a traditional Black Forest farmhouse was transformed into a unique venue for the exchange of knowledge and face-to-face contact. Schiltach/Wolfach. The Grieshaber Group has officially opened the Allgeirhof Training Center. After extensive renovation, a traditional Black Forest farmhouse was transformed into a unique venue for the exchange of knowledge and face-to-face contact. For the sister companies VEGA, Grieshaber Precision and Supfina, this project is an investment not only in modern professional development, but also in the Black Forest as a long-term location. Tradition and future Spanning some 1,750 square metres, Allgeirhof combines historic architecture with state-of-the-art technology. The characteristic Black Forest farmhouse façade was immaculately preserved, whilst the interior of the building underwent a complete restructuring. Classrooms for practical and theoretical training enable highly specialised instruction; the installed state-of-the-art media technology supports hybrid training formats. “Allgeirhof embodies the blend of tradition and innovation. With this special venue,…

VEGA at Powtech/Technopharm: Bulk solids perfectly under control
At Powtech/Technopharm, VEGA presents sensor technology for level, switching and pressure measurement. The focus is on reliable solutions for challenging applications in bulk solids and powder technology. Sensor technology for bulk solids handling At Powtech/Technopharm in Nuremberg, from 29 September to 1 October 2026, VEGA will present modern level, point level and pressure measurement solutions. The company can be found in hall 9, stand 9-348. The portfolio addresses demanding applications across bulk solids handling and powder processing. High-precision radar level measurement The 80 GHz radar sensor Vegapuls 6X combines high accuracy with maximum flexibility. An optional flushing air connection keeps the antenna clean in dust-heavy environments. For smaller silos and vessels, VEGA is displaying the compact Vegapuls C 23 radar sensor. Point level detection and radiometric systems To prevent overfilling and dry running, the Vegavib and Vegawave vibrating level switches detect defined limits in fine powders and coarse bulk materials. For extreme process conditions, non-contact radiometric measurement records level, point level, density or mass flow.

VEGA at steinexpo 2026: Robust Sensors for Process Reliability
At steinexpo, VEGA presents high-performance solutions for level, pressure, and mass flow measurement in raw material extraction and processing. Reliable measurement under the toughest conditions: At steinexpo from September 2 to 5, VEGA Grieshaber KG will present high-performance solutions for level, pressure, and mass flow measurement in raw material extraction and processing. The focus is on robust, low-maintenance sensors that deliver precise measurement results even in dust, vibration, and extreme weather conditions. Especially in quarries, durable and reliable measurement systems are crucial for cost-effective operations. Here, VEGA relies on modern radar technology for non-contact level measurement. The sensors operate precisely even under heavy dust development, material buildup, or changing bulk solids, ensuring continuous inventory monitoring in silos, bunkers, and crushers. The portfolio is complemented by robust pressure measurement instruments for hydraulic applications, pumps, and pipelines. They ensure safe process monitoring even under high mechanical loads and help prevent downtime. A special…

VEGA opens new plant in China
VEGA officially commissioned and identity celebrated the opening of a new location in Jiaxing, China, at the end of May. Schiltach/Jiaxing. The measurement technology manufacturer VEGA Grieshaber KG from Schiltach is further expanding its international presence. At the end of May, the company officially commissioned and celebrated the opening of a new location in Jiaxing, China. Following the expansion of electronics production in the USA in October 2025, the company is strengthening its global production strategy and creating the basis for further growth. Production at the headquarters in Schiltach will remain in place and will be supplemented by the new plant. VEGA has now been active on the Chinese market for 37 years. The newly constructed building in Jiaxing comprises around 21,000 square meters of production, warehouse, and office space. The location provides space for about 180 employees. The start of production was preceded by several years of intensive planning. Construction was completed on schedule: following the start of construction in December 2024, the project was completed…

VEGA at IFAT 2026
Stable measured values for a resilient water industry. From 4 to 8 May 2026, at IFAT in Munich, booth C1.239, VEGA will be showing state-of-the-art level and pressure instrumentation. Extreme weather events, increasing demands on drinking water quality and ever more complex wastewater processes are putting operators under increasing pressure. A sustainable and resilient water and wastewater infrastructure therefore needs one thing above all else: reliable measurement data, even under difficult conditions. From 4 to 8 May 2026, at IFAT in Munich, booth C1.239, VEGA will be showing how state-of-the-art level and pressure instrumentation helps to keep processes stable and efficient over the long term. Interactive demonstrations at the exhibition stand illustrate the capabilities of the sensors under realistic operating conditions. One focus is on wastewater treatment. Precise and stable measured values are indispensable in all process stages: from inflow via pumping stations to sedimentation and aeration to sludge dewatering and effluent control. Even in the presence of foam, vapours, buildup or changing media conditions, VEGA sensors deliver…

Copper recycling: good for the environment and the economy
The processing of copper scrap involves many precisely coordinated processes. When it comes to level instrumentation, Montanwerke Brixlegg relies on radar technology from VEGA. Very few companies can look back on over 550 years of company history. The Brixlegg copper-silver smelter appeared in documents for the first time in 1463. Copper and silver ores were mined there and refined into pure metals up until the 20th century. Since 1890, secondary materials containing copper have been increasingly used as raw materials instead of ores. “While the challenges back then were for the most part exclusively mining problems, today they are much broader. We are now responsible for maintaining a positive interplay between people, the environment and the economy,” explains Patrick Oberladstätter, Head of Electrical Engineering at Montanwerke Brixlegg in Tyrol. Today, Montanwerke Brixlegg AG is a 100 % upcycling company with more than 350 employees and one of the most important industrial operations in western Austria. The plant in Brixlegg is considered a specialist in copper recycling and the associated copper refining. But there is more to it:…
