SmartCon system: Containment made easy
Easy big bag emptying up to OEB 4 - with the new SmartCon system 1. In order to maintain the leakproofness of the system, the liner residue of the previously emptied big bag should only be removed when a new big bag has been connected., 2. The pressure lid must be lifted and the separated outlet must be manually placed in the emptying hopper. , 3. In order to connect a new big bag to be emptied, the big bag outlet must simply be placed over the emptying unit. , 4. The pressure plate moves down automatically. Pneumatic seals fasten the big bag outlet securely into place on the docking system., 5. Now, the cover of the engagement connection can be opened without tools., 6. The operator can use the engagement connection with an endless liner system to safely reach for the separated liner., 7. The separated liner is removed from the engagement connection., 8. The piece of foil and the liner contained within it can now be untied, separated and disposed of., 9. After the engagement connection cover has been closed, the contamination-free emptying can begin., 10. After the emptying process has finished, the big bag outlet can be untied and separated with the docking system. The process then starts again from the beginning., The optional leakproofness test can detect even the smallest amounts of damage to the foil liner outlet., The operating personnel are guided through the process by a control system that specifies all the work steps.

Engelsmann develops a new containment system
Easy big bag emptying up to OEB 4 Engelsmann has developed a new attachment system which can be used to empty big bags easily and safely under containment conditions. With the newly developed attachment system JEL SmartCon ES, foil-lined big bags can be emptied under containment conditions. As the emptying process is mostly automated, the operator only needs to perform a few steps themselves. During the emptying only very small, barely measurable quantities of product particles escape into the area around the machine. This protects production personnel from highly active and harmful substances and prevents cross-contamination with other products. The attachment system can be used up to a containment level of OEB 4, which equates to a particle concentration in the environment surrounding the machine of less than 10 µg / m3. “The development of the new containment system was a logical reaction on our part to the increased market demand for production equipment that helps facility operators to meet

This is how you Empty Big Bags Hygienically New Big Bag Emptying Hopper for Top Hygiene Requirements
This is how you Empty Big Bags Hygienically
New Big Bag Emptying Hopper for Top Hygiene Requirements To empty a big bag hygienically, the emptying station has to be constructed in such a way that prevents the formation of germs through contaminants and unremoved product remnants. The emptying hopper plays the biggest role in this as it is the only component in an emptying station that has direct contact with the product being emptied. Dead spaces inside the hopper which are not easily accessible can result in product remnants becoming stuck and going moldy. If a new big bag is then emptied, its contents could easily be contaminated. Easy to clean For fields with top hygiene requirements, Engelsmann recommends the use of the newly-developed emptying hopper in a hygienic design. The hopper’s interior is free of dead space and parts that can become lost, meaning that the product being emptied cannot be contaminated by stuck product remnants or components such as screws or nuts coming loose. Thanks to the dead space-free design and smooth surfaces, the hopper can be
