What’s new and what inspires for the future

Organized by the IHK organization A high-calibre business delegation from China, to be precise from Wuhan, the capital city of the central province Hubei visited our company upon invitation of the German IHK organization. We welcomed the 32-strong delegation on 15th March 2018 in our company is Betzigau where we were able to give them a small insight into the world of level measurement. We were also able to present our company during a company tour through production. The visitors all came from the manufacturing industry and showed great interest in the different level measurement solutions for the process industry.

Not every customer or prospect has the opportunity to see our screening machines at trade fairs or exhibitions and so we came to the conclusion that the machine has to come to the customer. From 9 April to 15 May we are going to let our prospects in India experience our screening equipment. Although, after RHEWUM founded its subsidiary RHEWUM India Pvt. Ltd. in 2017, our Indian customers are served by our local sales and service department as well as manufacturing partners on site, we would like to maintain the relationship also from Germany. With our mobile screening machine WA(U), we tour and visit new and existing customers to show them the latest trends and techniques, to advise our customers on the profitability of their equipment and to keep them up-to-date in terms of screening technology. We are looking forward to an exciting time in India!

The close tie with users ensures that developers from technology and research regularly learn about new requirements placed on machines and processes. “The demand for technology for coating miniature tablets has recently been on the rise. As early as in 2009, we were able to develop a slotted coater drum as part of a customer project. At that time, a customer needed a coater to film miniature tablets and pellets with a diameter of less than three millimetres - a requirement that conventional systems with standard perforation had not been able to meet,” Tim Remmert outlines the task at that time. Experiences and future plans for Russia’s markets This spring, UWT together with UWT RUS Level Measurement LLC organized a product training for the local sales partner RusAutomation in Chelyabinsk, a city in west-central Russia close to the Ural Mountains. During two days it was presented the broad range of solutions of the entire UWT product range for different process applications within different industries. Common questions such as which sensor is suitable for level measurement or level detection in which material-processing silo or process container could be answered. First ATEX approval for the intelligent coupling system MOLOScode The intelligent coupling system MOLOScode from MOLLET has received it´s first ATEX approval. Consequently, hose coupling stations with a potentially dust explosive atmosphere (zone 22) can be equipped with this coupling system as well. Further ATEX approvals are in process and will be available shortly. MOLOScode provides the possibility to monitor internal product flows by the PLC and make an incorrect connection of flexible and rigid pipelines impossible. These can be achieved by the equipment of each hose with a transponder and any pipe connection with a reading device. Via bus-system the data about any single coupling point are delivered directly to the PLC. These data provide information which hose is coupled at which connection point. Only if the matching is correct, the valve will be opened for the product flow. Otherwise it remains closed and a diagnose tool will inform the PLC about this mistake.
