GSK had several requirements for the package to fulfil, central of which was to accommodate a multi-product process train. This was achieved by designing in quick change operating parameters, equipment speeds, type of grinding media and sieve and screen type. The package consists of two RB100 screw feeders, which lead into two KEK Under-Driven Cone Mills. These in turn feed into two KEK Centrifugal Sifters. The economic response to European Parliament Directive 2003/53/EC The above Directive specifies that as of the end of 2004 cement and cement-containing preparations must not contain more than 0.0002 % (2 ppm) soluble chrome-VI since that can cause severe allergic reactions when in contact with the skin for longer periods.
