Cross-analytical characterization of particles and dispersions at POWTECH
Dispersion stability, particle size & more - POWTECH 6-114
L.U.M. GmbH welcomes all visitors to present innovations for dispersion analysis & particle characterization. During POWTECH besides L.U.M. products also new instruments for particle shape analysis and flowability of powders are presented. Non-spherical reference particles complete the presented highlights.
The new Demixing Tester LUMiCheck® (L.U.M. GmbH) is your first step in dispersion analysis. This instrument is especially designed for the quality assurance lab. It is used for the uncomplicated, comparative stability analysis & particle characterization of dispersions in their original state (without sample preparation or dilution). The fast quantitative comparison of different samples and the qualitative characterization of demixing behaviour, flocculation, sediment formation and stability make LUMiCheck the instrument of choice for the measurement of beverages and food, construction material, fuel and lubricants, and generally speaking for a large variety of emulsions and suspensions.
The Dispersion Analyzer LUMiSizer® ( LUM GmbH) is the complete dispersion lab in just one instrument. The LUMiSizer® simultaneously determines the demixing of 12 different dispersions at original concentration. Due to the acceleration of the demixing in the LUMiSizer up to a factor of 2300, information about e.g. colloidal stability, surfactant influence, particle size, agglomeration and flocculation of dispersions is obtained in drastically shortened time. The variation of the centrifugal field provides in addition, comparable to a falling sphere viscometer, first information about the rheological behaviour of a dispersion.
The fast characterization of any demixing and consolidation, the calculation of the velocity distribution as well as of the particle size distribution make the LUMiSizer the instrument of choice for research and development, for process optimization and quality control in nanotechnology and in e.g. food, ceramic, cosmetic, paint and chemical industries.
