The microwave barrier VEGAMIP 61 is especially designed for the requirements and special needs of the bulk solids industry. Since the microwave barrier measures contactlessly, VEGAMIP has no direct contact with the medium. This is advantageous particularly for abrasive products or very high temperatures. In such cases VEGAMIP 61 can simply measure from the outside through a microwave-permeable window, for example, of ceramic or plastic. Also in the area of liquid level detection or object detection, the microwave barrier offers many advantages over other measuring principles. Vertical Helix-Dryer for Dietary supplements For a big manufacturer of dietary supplements in Germany a dryer-project has just been realized, which once more was a real challenge to the flexibility and modifiability of drying technologies. In this case there was a process of evaporating, in which the product in dependency of the inner pressure of the vessel has been brought to its boiling temperature. By applying of vacuum in the AVA-Dryer the product temperature is adjusted exactly according to the vapour pressure graph of the liquid component, which is to be vaporized. Through this an especially efficient and gentle drying is reached. The heat input is effected over the heated outer vessel wall, in which the heating medium is circulating. For rising of the drying capacity and to avoid caking the main shaft of the dryer as well as the whole helix can be heated over a rotary connection. with the air jet sieving machine AS 200 jet The new air jet sieve AS 200 jet is particularly suitable for low density materials with particle sizes in the lower micron range. It is used with 203 mm (8’’) sieves of 10 microns mesh size or more. An industrial vacuum cleaner generates a jet of air which disperses the particles on the sieve through a slotted nozzle. The material which passes the sieve is transported to the vacuum cleaner or to a cyclone for recovery. The procedure is very gentle on the material, the average sieving time only takes 2-3 minutes. A special feature of the AS 200 jet is the Open Mesh Function which helps to greatly reduce the number of near-mesh particles. This provides optimum separation efficiency and also excellent reproducibility. Operation of the sieving machine is very simple. The new vibratory sieve shaker AS 450 control accepts loads of up to 20 kg With the analytical sieve shaker AS 450 control RETSCH have designed their first siever for 400 mm and 450 mm sieves which operates with a three-dimensional sieving motion. It can be used for dry and wet sieving. The optimized electromagnetic drive allows for an amplitude up to 2.2 mm which renders the separation process much more effective than with other sieve shakers of this type. Grain Silo The new bulk storage terminal that Ultra-Brag AG operates in the Rhine port of Kleinhüningen is an impressive structure, with overall height of 83 meters, it clearly dominates the Basel port skyline. This height required a number of special measures: The structure has to be earthquake-proof, it must be resilient enough to absorb wind loads, and its immense weight must be reliably supported by its relatively small footprint of 27 by 40 meters. Silo discharge blocking problems with powdery, lumpy or granulated bulk goods overcomes a vibrating cage. Suitable for all silo types it gets installed onto the silo cone end. This only activates that part of the stored bulk goods to be discharged immediately. Short operating cycles with vibration-free intervals save energy. There will be no fluidizing air in the bulk material which can cause problems in subsequent operation such as dosing or weighing sacking. Maintenance free seals prevent leakage of the silo.
